I don't know how many of you have had the pleasure of actually riding this but it is UH-MAZING. I live in Orlando and don't get to go very often but when I do, it feels like I'm walking through Hogwarts and the dementors are so real I screamed like a little girl when they popped out at me! Definitely go if you ever get the chance!
IM SOOOO flippin glad this place was not in Britain, because then i would never be able to go!! and its only 2 hours away with me, us Americans deserve it. cause we weren't even aloud to audition for the movies! haha but anyway this place is magical <3

ACTUALLY... what muggles see is an old ruin, "Honestly, am I the only one who's read 'Hogwarts, A History," -Hermione Granger. AAAAAAAND, Professor Binns teaches History of Magic, not Defense against the Dark Arts.

When you go into the park, don't follow the signs that say go to the left to get to the Wizarding World because everyone goes that way because they don't realize that you can get through by going through Suess Landing. Also, if you wanna go to that part of the park either go there really early or really late otherwise you may find yourself in a 4 hour queue :)
@sunderlandgrl I went on it like 10 times and it was amazing everytime. The dementors were soo scary though. Hahaha. But when we first got inside the park we just followed the majority of the crowd and it went through Suess Landing but after the first time everyother morning my friend and I would power walk to get there as fast as we could. @tulabird92 We're you staying near/in Universal? We were staying in Disney and we only went to the Islands of Adventure side twice and my family wouldn't agree to staying with me in the Harry Potter part all day. Lol.
When I was there they always had signs up pointing to go through Marvel and Jurassic Park so the majority was going that way which must have taken them ages since it's at the other side of the park.
@sunderlandgrl Nahh we stayed at Champions World Resort in Kissimmee. It was super cheap since my friend and I just graduated high school in june and only have an 8 doller an hour job. Hahah. But we did spend 3/4 of our time at Harry Potter.

You must have went to old town Kissimmee though right? I adore it there. We went there a few times. My favourite night was the karaoke night they had there. We don't have that sorta thing in England. I like how it seemed like a very friendly community, plus there was a really cheap bracelet shop
@sunderlandgrl OH NO!!! I hope you got the butter beer. I heard it's great. I've seen the Botts beans in regular stores. You definitely want to get the things you can't get any where else, so I'd skip those if I ever went. Did any beans taste gross? LOL
@Miracle490d I didn't like the butter beer, but when I tasted it, it was warm because I'd went on the Dragon's Challenge while he stayed off and got some butter beer because he's not a fan of rollercoasters. It might have tasted better cold.
Some beans were really nice but then there was a pepper flavoured one (with actual pepper inside, it was just a flavour) & a white one with yellow dots that tasted literally like sick but then there was flavours like bubblegum and watermelon which were nice
@sunderlandgrl Too bad it was warm. My brother and the kids raved over frozen butterbeer, so it probably would've been better. Personally I don't like any drink if it's not either ice cold or hot. They are true to the books with those beans. They talked about ear wax and vomit in movies, so they really give you some yucky ones. Did you realize they had that in the stories when you bought them? Or didya forget or not think they'd do that? LOL Why do Harry&em buy that. I'd prefer licorice wands.

They wouldn't be normal kids without sweets in the book, so she found a way to keep it sweet, but odd and distasteful.
The most I've waited for this was 15 minutes. My brother and I do the single rider line. It's sort of hidden. It's at the beginning of the queue line, and you can see a little staircase. If you just go up that staircase, you go through some stone hallways, and then you're up where they load, with no wait. The only minus is that you get split up, but they let you just stand at the exit and wait for the other person, so it's awesome.

this i the most amazing ride ever built. i was there the day it opened but my family and i went to hollywood studios or whatever its called to avoid the lines at island of adventures. the line for this was from the back of the park, all the way through the park, out the front gates, all the way around the pond outside of the gates, and even further. but we got on it the second day it was opened cause we had early enterance
so its like you walk through the school and then get on the ride? why cant u just get on the ride u know if your in a hurry or something or is the tour really long cause id love to see it just if it not very long

Yah. I thought the same thing " oh this is gonna suck. Its not worth 90 minutes" it is. its worth like 3 hours. Maybe more. It is soooo awesome. If u like coasters this is the order u need to do things in. Hulk, Spiderman, Dr. Doom, JP river adventure, Harry Potter stuff, and everything from there on. Its like goin left allll the way around. @KrAzyKId445 Thanks, yer i went there last when i was 12, so its been a while, im 16 now, I loved the Hulk and Dueling Dragons when i last went, i'm glad theres new stuff aswell now. Luckily were staing in Portophino Bay hotel and we can use our room key to cut all the quews, but im guesing that were not guna wana do that for Harry Potter by the sound of things.
Well there is no express for harry Potter, or Hollywood rip-ride Rocket. New rides don't have fast passes till about 8 months later. But i wouldnt do it anyways. And to be totally honest. Word to everyone: DO SINGLE RIDER!!!!! 3 reasons.
1) It cuts the wait time to about 1/3 of the regular line (makes 1/2 hours about 30 minutes.)
2) Since the whole simulator is a straight row of 4 you won't see who your riding with anyways.
3) You see all the line you would usually see but no waiting.

@noeynoah45 As with most every rollercoaster/VR ride at Universal they keep you busy as you wait in line to go on the actual ride. Busy is one thing, beginning to immerse you in the ride is another.
@noeynoah45 u walk to the ride. The line goes around the school and threw it. Then you get on and ride a virtual anamatronic type ride (cant explain it tht good since it was SO DANG AMAZING!

@jsgirl4ev3 When I went a few months ago there was a new coaster. (some rock and roll coaster). They did not let us use the passes. I think it was because it was a new ride. Not sure about harry potter though

@brattty13 there are two separate entrances for single rider and the general line. however, at one point you are right next to the general line, but still in a separate line.
Is Dumbledore going to be an actor or animatronic? From the looks of it the latter, since I sort of saw him standing there -- or maybe I'm going crazy.

No, you're not going crazy, what Universal is doing is using laser technology to have the actors (Harry, Ron, Hermione, Dumbledore) there... In other words, they are using holograms, however, they are supposed to be very realistic according to mugglenet.
Professor Binns can't teach DADA, he's not even aware of what death is XD

Yah. I thought the same thing " oh this is gonna suck. Its not worth 90 minutes" it is. its worth like 3 hours. Maybe more. It is soooo awesome. If u like coasters this is the order u need to do things in. Hulk, Spiderman, Dr. Doom, JP river adventure, Harry Potter stuff, and everything from there on. Its like goin left allll the way around. @KrAzyKId445 Thanks, yer i went there last when i was 12, so its been a while, im 16 now, I loved the Hulk and Dueling Dragons when i last went, i'm glad theres new stuff aswell now. Luckily were staing in Portophino Bay hotel and we can use our room key to cut all the quews, but im guesing that were not guna wana do that for Harry Potter by the sound of things.

Well there is no express for harry Potter, or Hollywood rip-ride Rocket. New rides don't have fast passes till about 8 months later. But i wouldnt do it anyways. And to be totally honest. Word to everyone: DO SINGLE RIDER!!!!! 3 reasons.
1) It cuts the wait time to about 1/3 of the regular line (makes 1/2 hours about 30 minutes.)
2) Since the whole simulator is a straight row of 4 you won't see who your riding with anyways.
3) You see all the line you would usually see but no waiting.

@noeynoah45 As with most every rollercoaster/VR ride at Universal they keep you busy as you wait in line to go on the actual ride. Busy is one thing, beginning to immerse you in the ride is another.

@jsgirl4ev3 When I went a few months ago there was a new coaster. (some rock and roll coaster). They did not let us use the passes. I think it was because it was a new ride. Not sure about harry potter though

No, you're not going crazy, what Universal is doing is using laser technology to have the actors (Harry, Ron, Hermione, Dumbledore) there... In other words, they are using holograms, however, they are supposed to be very realistic according to mugglenet.
