Most of the time, keita just goes to the ground whenever Cung attempted a throw. Thats actually quite smart of him. Yes, he loses some points but by going to the ground himself, he wont get the wind knocked out of him. If Cung had slammed him down hard, he would get tired and loses more energy. But if he goes down by himself, he only needs to get up and loses some points.

It's like Mohamed didn't even try. Sure he was fighting a faster opponent, but it's not like you can't go around that. Use your size, close in with your guards up, do big close range boxing hits to make him move backwards and then use your long legs full power. That or anything.

Anderson had Henderson hurt. He rarely attempts takedowns and Cung has a strong wrestling background. Cung is every bit as quick and accurate a striker as Anderson Silva. He would give him a very good fight.

Judging by his style of fighting he would apply pressure against Silva which could make for a very exciting fight, especially since both are technical strikers.

I'm not taking anything away from Cung Le. Fantastic fighter and athlete. I just think if Frank mixed things up a bit more he would have won the fight. The only person that was ever almost knocked out in that fight was Cung Le. Frank had a couple opportunities to capitalize and take it to the ground. Instead he wanted a stand up fight... and he paid the price. It was a legitimate win. I just think Frank would come with a different gameplan and win next time

Cung does decent power, but he also doesnt throw as many strikes as most fighters also. he's very precise in how he strikes and he doesnt want to throw an all out punch that he isnt positive will land so you see him throw less power shots and more along the lines of accuracy which will wear someone down more than a flurry of strikes that all glance off the target. And he is a smaller guy so there is the weight behing the hit also, but he hase sufficent power for K.O.s just doesnt throw for them.

At 185 he looks too heavy for his frame. I think Silva at 6-2 is too much for Le at 5-10. I know Le has beaten tall fighters, but none as skilled as Silva.
