I have tried to measure the distance more accurately on Google Earth. 1300 m may be a bit too long. 900 m is closer, which lower the actual maximum speed to about 7 knots with the turning radius included. Still, 7 knots is pretty fast.

Nice video, and I would have a hard time keeping track with those guys in my kayak! All though the hulls actually look very similar, under the waterline.
