i don't think it will it's a base... i think you need acids.. or in the case of a raw potato... well life... porassium is an inhibitor at least in the body... it will stop your heart quick if you get too much.. and crap up your muscles if not enough... i would think it would act like insulation... could be wrong... and green banana would probably be differant from ripe ones..
