@ NaturalBeauty221, BBB does not provide or recommend any schools to consumers. We strive to create and ethical marketplace for both consumers and sellers. Before you enroll in any online school, check with the Department of Education to check their accreditation and be sure to check with the Better Business Bureau to see if there are any complaints filed against the school by other consumers.
An online university (totally online, no campus) that offers credit for life experience, or offers degrees that most State universities don't offer, or if their credits will not transfer to a State university near you are to be avoided. For profit colleges are suckering in a lot of people. Mostly, their degrees are worthless and you are still uneducated after spending a lot of money.
Many students take time off school to work, and some of these schools recognize "prior learning" as invaluable experience, granting them credits in return. I am not acquainted with Belford, but I am familiar with the concept - and I appreciate it! A degree in 15 days just means that the process of evaluation takes 15 days.
I wish the UK would crack down on diiloma mills. There is even one that even gives degrees for music! Calamus International University is a degree mill that you can get a music "degree" from if you take online classes through Vocalist International Distance Learning Academy ( VIDLA ). "Dr." Ria Keen works for both and has all three of her "degrees" from Calamus. She also works for, or did, Birmingham Theatre School. How bad do you have to be to not to check out your teacher!
Consumers should always check with the US Department of Education to make sure the school they are interested in enrolling are Accredited.
