  • there no midi out there in this price that have a filter this does watch other videos this torq is ver good more effects than other

  • the build quality for this is really not worth the price

  • hey ean,

do you have a good tsi for traktor pro ?

would love to try this one on my traktor!

  • i bought the xponent a while ago but honestly it felt like a toy... really poorly made. too bad cos if they used some good materials it could have been a great controller

  • @ansiaaa666 ah! obviously I returned it :P

  • i was going to buy the xponent but then a god came out of the skys.

and that god is the Kontrol S4.

  • @dan0987654321 got my S4 as well. I came to know ean golden as an artist thanks to his demo vids on the NI website actually :D

  • DOES ANYONE KNOW WHEN M AUDIO WILL MAKE XPONENT AUDIO COMPATIBLE WITH WINDOWS 7 ? A COMP. W i7PROC? THANKS

  • @farkas0205 More likely than not, NEVER! Not worth M-Audio's time or money to make it Win7 compatible.

  • ko ti dade to bolje da ga je bacio tebrex

  • WOOP

    Jurassic 5 FTW

  • i actually bought a soundcard(audio8) and im running the xponent with two technics vinyl turntables on the sides (4 decks total) the mouse control ontop of the xponent allows me to fade from the vinyl tables because the mixer only has two channels but traktor software can be controlled that way .

  • excuse me do you need extra sound card to connect it to laptop??? please reply. thank you. btw nice remix.. like it.! keep it up.

  • @sheunghyun nope got one built in

  • Check out my Xponent mix guys!!!

    watch?v=i7g03ISPn3c

  • I want one :D

  • does it work on traktor pro ?

  • @cocalarpanicat yes,with the right tks files.

  • lullaby by the cure

  • fader curve is customizable

  • wat song was that at the end?

  • nice Cure song there at the end :D

  • the music at 1:09 is good

  • nice liquidmix in the bak

  • no you dont need amp. Check out my mixes with torq. If you want to see some sick remixes using torq check out my channel!!

  • i have used this at gigs and at you can rock the party with it i recommend it 100%

  • hello, i just bought the xponent. i have a laptop with laptop speakers...do i need an an amp? i am just mixing at home for fun...thanks

  • @shannonbusta you don't need an amp, but it is worth looking into a pair of monitor speakers for the far superior sound quality. Even cheap ones will be much better than your laptop speakers and it will help your mixing.

  • 600 is alot to drop just for fun...

  • how much are these going for now??

  • ok thx

  • can i use it with traktor????

  • If this auto sync's what is the point, is to focus on adding effects? Seems to take away from the DJ art.

why this over cdj's and a mixer. I'm considering buying a new setup as I have sold my turntables and mixer, but why this, Tork Xponent, Hercules or any other similar setup. If a component on the system such as the play button goes out on one side, your out of a complete system until a replacement.

  • Well, by that logic, if a play button goes out on one of your cdj's, you're out of half of your system, and frankly, I figure it'd be kind of hard to mix two tracks from only one audio source...

Anyway, the point is to not have to carry around 1,000 CDs to have access to 1,000 CDs' worth of music. It's compact, it's portable, and integrating it with MIDI/computer technology allows access to new performance paradigms than "play song, match tempo, fade to next song, repeat."

  • thanks for the input, does anyone know how this Torq software compare to others like Serato. Also, has anyone played at any gigs with this and experience any problems?

  • Stop using mobile phones and use smoke signals instead, mobile phones takes away from the art of communication. :P The world changes, move with it and keep up.

  • Didnt mean that as an insult by the way, just a perspective :)

  • my xponent doesn't flash the lights as it plays and when I press all the buttons for the affects it doesn't play them eighter. Does anybody know how to fix this problem?

  • u need to assighn the affects using the Torq Software.

  • go into the pref panel of torq then go to xponent tab then set the options

  • You can do all that with a virtual program. What's the point of paying $600 for that?

  • so whats the name of that program? and where i can download.

  • Google VirtualDJ. Should answer your question.

  • its torq

  • howcome on some vids, i see the xponents led's all flashing to the bpms, but not on all of them??? is there some special way to get the lights to blink on beat??

  • The flashing works on the original torq software that comes with it, but not with other software being used.

  • Thanks for the video, can't decide, does anyone have any opinion on xponent compared to vestax vc 100. Seems to be more faults with xponent..it's not for scratching but will be used for gigs..

  • depends on what you want. the xponent is great but i needed to have it on always because i also used it as a sound card.

now i have an external soundcard and some little midi controllers.

if you have a soundcard already the xponent is well worth it.

  • i really want this..........

  • hi~ean

i come from Taiwan (English not good)

    Xponent VS VCI-100

    You suggest which

    If chase VCI-100

    Change into your SE versions

Whether can support VIRTUAL DJ ??

    thx~for help!!

  • the new version of virtual dj has a section under it's "remote control" where it has all of the popular midi controllers i assume pre-mapped so in other words, vci-100, x-ponent, and others are already pre-loaded and mapped for you -one of the reasons i want to buy the x-ponent

  • I dont plan on scratching but I want to learn to dj for parties and such. I want to remix and such. could anyone recomend buying this thing?

  • try the VCI-300..

  • This thing will break if you scratch too much. It is not made to scratch. It is more of a House kind of DJ-ing equipment. I fyou want to scratch , buy 2 Pioneer CDJS or a Serrato kind of device.

  • what's the song @ 1:10 ?

  • The Cure - Lullaby

  • A very strange remix of a great song. lol

  • i cant get mine too scratch as well

  • i just got my unit & im finding a delay or latency in the platter respone when in vinyl mode. Cant scratch with it because it doesnt respond quick enough...anyone know how to fix this??

  • Hey if its any help, go to preferences and change your latency or buffer to a low figure like 64. Hope that helps.

  • thanks for that...i checked the forums last wk & they suggested the same thing. ive set it to the lowest buffer setting & its much better but im used to using CDJ1000mk3s & Technics dz1200s with an instant response. I would prefer a pair of dz1200s but cost & portability is why i went with the xponent. Im happy with it for a mobile DJ enviromnet which is why i bought it...

  • Comment removed

  • my understanding of that button is that it switched between "vinyl" & CDJ modes...

  • Comment removed

  • i got my unit for $450 cause i grabbed the display unit which was like new. they go for $599

  • i got the ex demo model too & saved almost $200!

  • i started getting back into djing recently but my decks needed some repairs. plus i needed new needles and all that good stuff. well long story short i grabbed one of these and aside from the loose faders and knobs, which you get used to, it is actually a fun and fully functional tool for djing.

i can scratch but that's the one thing i would never trust this for. get the torq version with the vinyl dubplates and the external sounds card if you want to pull of some scratching.

  • if your going to travil around you should by torq..its easy to travil with and good for electronic dj's who remix.torqs good for all dj's but for scratch dj's the only real way to scratch is vinyl..not cd's lol

only real scratch djs use vinyl..never try to battle with some programed shit.that might over heat and cut out on you in the middle of your set..lol

  • how much does a dj cost homes?? becease i want to buy one!! and where can you get one!!!

  • I bought a VCI-100 and I'm glad I did. I've heard only good about it, and I've heard not so good about the Xponent. The wheels are clunky and aren't good for scratching, but overall I'm very satisfied. Chad

  • CAPEK666: yes...Xponent is 100% compatible with Virtual DJ

  • for someone who wants to get into djing do u think the xponent is the way to go??

  • sure its not for SCRATCH dj-ing, but this shit is awesome for producers and other types of dj's.

  • Crazytalk151 - When I first started DJing this was what I used and have never looked back since. I love it and continue to use it as a back up to my set. PS I have a spare one for sale.... never opened the box!

  • how much are u trying to sell it for?

  • can i play with this on VDJ?

  • can u mix video with this

  • not with the current version of the m audio software. You can use this to control other programs that support video mixing however.

  • @reggiereg1 the xponenet can be fitted to just about any software, if the software has video capability then it can be mapped to control it. i would recomend traktor. ive heard great things

  • @reggiereg1 you can mix video if you download the rigth mapper...

  • Yeah, that's what i would like to ask aswell!

I'm chosin between the Xponent and the VCI-100... Which one do you think is the best alternative and why?

    Thanks for the awesome vids!

  • Thanks for taking the time to demonstrate different products to us on youtube.

Would you buy an Xponent or a VCI-100? Which is more reliable from what you've heard?

  • I bought the xponent last week tried them both and Xponent was nicer if you ask me

  • i kind of get what buffer is but if you can could you explain a bit?

also what were your other settings like your midi preferences

  • what about hercules mk2? i am a mobile dj i am about to buy one of these two, what do you think? Are there any problems whith hercules or m audio (sound clarity, reliability, cue, button delay e.t.c?)Any help pleaseeeeeee

  • hey Zboufis. I have never tried the hercules so i cant really say.. sorry :-)

  • I've used one before... The Hercules is great for its pricing and the fact that it has built in sound card.. but beyond that its really a crappy unit that will wear down and only cause more headaches in the long run... If your serious about being a mobile DJ invest in either an xponent, numark total control, or vci-100 + a proper sound card...

you can check Ean's other vids about soundcard options....

  • what's the name of the last song ?

  • the last song is the cure-lullaby...

thats what i notice it as, be sure to youtube it

  • That is the cure for sure, its a pig and dan remix. GREAT song!

  • hi,are you just using tracks from your music libary on your comp,or decs, cheers

  • Wanna have Mac too my lowest buffer with Windows is 128 :(

  • Download asio4all and you will get much better results.
