Very clear evidence and warning. It marvels me how Mormons try to defend this stuff. They are like worms wriggling against sandpaper - it only serves to damage them further.
A prophet of Israel that failed in even one prophecy was killed, because failing in one prophecy from God proves it is not from God who is almighty, omnipresent in the universe and time, who created everything out of nothing, who existed in the past eternity. Joseph began teaching this initially, this still remains in one of the books besid the BOM. Joseph later changed this doctrine, where he made God a man who developed into a God. He contradicts himself, and Mormons don't know this.

Joseph Smith, according to history, was a 37 year old man with great appatite for sex, especially with young girls at 14 and +. His "ministry" as a trusted profet gave him the benefits for much sex, like Muhammad, who also changed the word of God when it suited him. Joseph said at the beginning that it is sin to have many wifes, but later changed to be like Muhammad, a sex hungry pedophile, who married women that already were married. These are facts and true history.
@chanses2 Her are her little wives, Her Names, Helen Mar Kimball 14, Nancy Maria Winchester 14, Flora Ann Woodworth she was 16 Joseph was 37. At this age Jose had married 21 women. Jose use the bible to write the book of Mormon? Well he forgot to apply it. A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of (ONE WIFE), vigilant, sober, of good behavior, given to hospitality, apt to teach. ! Timothy 3:2 And here are the names of the already married ladies. ------>
@yourmom7992 False Prophets are people who teach false doctrine and lead people away from the true gospel message and teaching of God found in the Bible (like Joseph Smith, Charles Taze Russell & Mary Baker Eddy). Jesus warned about false prophets in Matthew 24:24 stating that in the last days many false prophets would arise and deceive, if possible, even the elect.
In "Mormondumb" those at the Top of the Corporation are "sustained as" something: it is a hodge-podge of things that one is "sustaining them as":
1) prophet-leader
2) corporate administrators & executives
3) policy-makers (as L.Tom Perry recently said, to this effect).
4) Judges in Zion
Contrast the above with what Jesus told Peter, on one occasion, "Feed my sheep". What? Lead them, Lord? "No. YOU give sustenance to (viz., sustain) THEM (not vice-versa).
To "invoke the powers of heaven" implies that God has to somehow respond to the pleading of men: to command heaven, as it were, in order to not make the mortal look like a fool, when the thing does not come to pass.
ANCIENT PROPHETS (whether one believes the stories or counts them as fables, only) all had the same "gift":
1) They "heard the voice of God, audibly' (as did Samuel, from an early age)
2) They repeated to the people the words that they actually audibly heard
I like this video: I am going to comment some more, here.
At 0:12, in the vid, the quote is "...and prophesy he did..invoking the powers of Heaven and the name of God."
The above statement is problematic (not to a mormon, of course, because they believe that their 15 "prophets, seers, & revelators" prophesy by and through "invoking the powers of heaven..."
God, Himself, says it DIFFERENTLY, in Deut. 18:20-22
Ostensibly, ancient prophets heard the voice of God audiby, as did Samuel.
ONLY in mormon theology does one find statements like yours--steeped in Mormondumb: where a person has to accept Joe Smith, in order to get into a Mormon-engineered "Heaven". Never mind having to accept Peter, James, John, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Jeremiah, Amos, Obadiah, and others.
DEUTERONOMY 18: 20-22 This is what happens to a prophet who speaks presumptuously.
You say that you are confused. Well, you "look" confused. I will just leave you in that confused state, for now: you sectarians have the ungodly propensity of wanting to "pigeon-hole people". Let's see: a "round hole" for round-headed sectarians; a "square hole" for real squares, like Mormons; and, the list goes on and on, "ad nauseum".
@Ahashdah Hmm? not sure where I said I was "confused"?? I did say you have no idea what you are talking about?? You seam to be going in circles and there is no way out? You are talking about holes?? so what hole do you fall into? I think you are a little lost and need the truth! seek the truth my friend!
@JediLDS No actually I am just pointing out that the LDS believe that good Mormons that fall away are "sons of perdition". that is where my question comes from, I pointed to you not all Mormons. I also was not saying this is a bad thing since if you are questioning then what I am pointing out to you is opening your eyes to the truth and Jesus will do the rest my friend! Then I can call you my brother in Jesus which I would love to do!!
I will never understand the need to post video's like this. Do you seriously think it makes an ounce of difference. All it does is voice you insecurities about your relationship with God. As for whether Joseph is a prophet or not... who cares. If he is then you will know it soon enough and the Lord will assure you have a proper opportunity to accept or reject such... in the body or between death and resurrection. If he isn't then only the Catholics have a hope of being right. Good luck.
Every one of these prophesies is here taken out of context, incomplete, or can yet be fulfilled. The first is incomplete unless you also know that the Lord told Joseph, when he asked when the Lord would return, The Lord said... "If you live to be 85 you will see me return." You do the math. Also... "generation" refers to all who live from the time of Joseph (the prophet of the Dispensation of the fulness of times) to the time of Christ's return.
@infillionaire The Lord knew he was going to be innocently killed and not reach 85, probaly the only tme God told him leave it alone., I will come when I decide.

@Jack44M "Generation" has several meanings. If "generation" was confined to one definition, then that would make Jesus a false prophet, as he told his disciples about the signs of his second coming, then stated that "this generation shall not pass, til all these things be fulfilled". (Matt 24:34, Mark 13:30, Luke 21:32)
"Here then we see a prediction, and we believe it. Yes! The Latter-day Saints have as firm faith and rely upon this promise as much as they rely upon the promise of forgiveness of sins. A temple will be reared on the spot that has been selected, and the corner-stone of which has been laid, in the generation when this revelation was given."
"But says the objector, `thirty-nine years have passed away.' What of that? The generation has not passed away; all the people that were living thirty-nine years ago have not passed away; but before they do pass away this will be fulfilled"
Unless your apostles lie when speaking in GC, generation was clearly defined and defined for THAT prophecy.
@JediLDS To understand generation (genea) you must understand the context. you see first of all it is from the root word "genos" meaning kindred or family. It can be used to denote a physical family generation or bloodline. It can be used to denote the spiritual family or generation of evil. And it can be used to denote the spiritual family or generation of Christ. The problem with JS prophecy is he added the age of 85 which makes it a time referance.
@Exodus314IAM What problem? "'Joseph, my son, if thou livest until thou art eighty-five years old, thou shalt see the face of the Son of Man; therefore let this suffice, and trouble me no more on this matter.' I was left thus, without being able to decide whether this coming referred to the beginning of the millennium or to some previous appearing, or whether I should die and thus see his face." (D&C 130:15-16)
@JediLDS It is funny you bring up D&C 130, have you read Acts 17:11 about the Bereans? they read the Word of God and used it to test if what a person was speaking of God or not. Now read D&C 130:22? does God the father have a body of flesh and bone or read John 4:23-24 is God the Father Spirit? hmmm what would the Bereans say about this?
Seek the truth, run from the false teachings of Mormonism!
@Exodus314IAM "Seek the truth, run from the false teachings of Mormonism!"
I sought truth a long, long time ago. It's called sincere prayer and having faith that God answers prayers. He certainly did for me. You seem to be advocating that people should NOT go to God in prayer when they want to know what path to take in their life. The Bereans were mortal, just like we are. One wonders if they prayed to receive correct interpretation of what they were reading? (2 Peter 1:20)
@JediLDS I am happy you "sought truth" but who did you seek this truth from? God or gods? a once man like us god or the Eternal and only true God? I am not putting yo down my friend, I am trying to bring you up. As for 2 peter 1:20 this verse only makes sense if you add verse 21 to it also. It is like reading a sentance and stopping at the comma.
@Exodus314IAM ... "who did you seek this truth from? God or gods?"
You know what? I'm going to give you a chance to think about what you are accusing me of, m'man. If you really know Mormons as well as you claim, you also know that we do not pray to "gods". We pray to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ. But you already know that, don't you?
Now please spare me your false pretensions of "I am trying to bring you up" by not posting any more idiocy that is directed at me.
@JediLDS Mormonism holds to the doctrine of a Triad, not a Trinity. Even though it claims the word Trinity as its teaching, it does not hold to the doctrine of the Trinity. In Mormonism, the Father has a body of flesh and bones and used to be a man on another world who became a god and came to this world. Jesus is the first-born between god and his goddess wife, Jesus has become a god.
@Exodus314IAM ... Well, you almost got something right about Mormonism. We do believe that God the Father has a glorified body of flesh and bone. He "used to be a man on another world who became a god and came to this world"? Speculation and not doctrine. Jesus was the first born of the Father in the flesh. We believe in the godhead. "Triad" is never used in describing the nature of the godhead. Triad is a generic term that literally means "group of three" and can be applied to anything.
@JediLDS "group of three" yet they never knew each other? Isaiah 44:6-8; 45:5, 21-22; Hosea 13:4; Moses 1:6. Even if you want to use your own text look at 3 Nephi 15:5 your jesus said he "was in the beginning with God and WAS God," not a god. So a "triad" being a GROUP of three would be three different and seprate gods in a group.
@Exodus314IAM Who says that they never knew each other? I've never implied that.
3 Nephi 15:5 says:
"Behold, I am he that gave the law, and I am he who covenanted with my people Israel; therefore, the law in me is fulfilled, for I have come to fulfil the law; therefore it hath an end."
I agree, repentance is pointless without the atonement Christ having suffered so that we may be saved. But without repentance a man stand alone and faces the judgement of the Almighty God. a
@llewellleo Ephesians 2:8 "For by grace are ye saved through faith (and repentance); and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God" this is what you are saying right? or maybe Galatians 2:16 16 "Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ (and repentance), even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified."
@0LittleDancerGurl0 Jesus and the Father are one (John 8:58), that is one in purpose and one in essence. They are totally united, one in purpose, one in thought and one in deed. Jesus is very unique as God, the only human being who is God incarnate.
Jesus prayed to inform Christians about the importance of communicating with God. Jesus taught Christians how to pray (Matt. 6:9) and Jesus is our example. John 13:15 says "For I have set you an example, that you also should do as I have done to you."
I am not a Mormon, but your 3-in-1 God is just plain "hokum".
Even in the Mormon Temple Ceremony of the Endowment, they say that there used to be a Protestant Minister, (in the pre-1990 Endowment Ceremony), who is asked, "What do you preach?"
The Ministers replies, "I preach of a God who is so big that He fills the Universe and yet so small that He can dwell in your heart."
Adam (of the Garden of Eden) then says to this allegorical minister: "That is a mass of confusion."
@Ahashdah I am not sure what the heck you are talking about?? Are you saying you believe in 3 gods ot One true God? You bring up Mormons then Protestants? what are you talking about?
@Exodus314IAM that would make Christ a nut for praying to himself. the God you speak of was born of Palto called NeoPlatoism 427BC. He tought that the oply thing that could be Eternal was The Good The True, The Beautiful He later gave it a name "THE ONE GOD", "THE DEVINE" This belief was carried into the Christain church and was the belief of the Saduccesss, and Pharisies, this was why they hated Christ so much, him claiming to be The Son of God! having a body and all! Christ, The Son of God
"I would that ye should come unto Christ, who is the Holy One of Israel, and partake of his salvation, and the power of his redemption. Yea, come unto him, and offer your whole souls as an offering unto him, and continue in fasting and praying, and endure to the end; and as the Lord liveth ye will be saved." Joseph Smith Jr.
"I am a lover of the cause of Christ and of virtue, chastity, and an upright, steady course of conduct and a holy walk. I despise a hypocrite or a covenant breaker. I judge them not; God shall judge them according to their works. I am a lover even of mine enemies, for an enemy seeketh to destroy openly. I can pray for those who despitefully use and persecute me, but for all I cannot hope." Joseph Smith Jr.
@0LittleDancerGurl0 That is great that you believe the Bible, but which is more correct? What does the Book of Mormon teach that the Bible does not? is the temple rituals of the LDS in either? Is god was once a man like you and me (flesh and bone) in either? Are these important to the LDS, like being married in the temple, where in the Bible or Book of Mormon are these talked about?
Please seek the truth my friend, you are in my prayers, you and your family!
@Exodus314IAM Modern prophets also teach doctrine, so some things aren't necessarily in The Book of Mormon. Yes I believe god was once a man. The Bible and The Book of Mormon NEVER contridict. They supplement each other.
I don't worship Joseph Smith. I worship god and Jesus Christ. I only admire Joseph Smith for what he did. I respect your religion so lets just not get into an arguement. I can tell you are a great person from your deep thinking. God bless you (:
@0LittleDancerGurl0 I am not trying to argue and I know you have strong faith, most Mormons do, but I am sorry to say that your faith is not on the path of salvation. Just by you saying "I worship god AND Jesus Chris" is off. Do you believe Jesus IS God or A God? You see Jesus is God not a God (John 1) and this is where most people get on the wrong path. Who Jesus is and what He did for everyone, you, me everyone.
@Exodus314IAM I believe that there are three members of the godhead. Jesus Christ, Heavenly Father (god), and the holy ghost. The are seperated in being, but one in purpose. What religion are you? I would like to research it so I can better explain things. THANKS :)
@0LittleDancerGurl0 I am a Born Again Christian, I am a non-denominational Jesus of the Bible loving and following person who knows that I am saved by the actions and life/death/resurection of my only God Jesus Christ who is also God the Father and the Holy Spirit which are all the same and only God. This is known as the trinity which Mormons do not understand, but if you know and trust the Bible then you will know and understand the truth in God!
@Exodus314IAM The Bible says that there aren't any more prophets. Luke 16:16 says that the Law and Prophets were until John the Baptist. The Old Testament was broken up into two sections: the Law (Genesis through Deuteronomy) and the Prophets (all the other OT books). It is the "Prophets" section of the OT that Jesus was referring to in Luke 16:16.
@Exodus314IAM Tell me, did Peter not have visions once the Lord had departed, did he not lead the Church as a prophet? What of the prophesies of John the beloved on Patmos which are bound in the Book of Revelations. Read this verse again, ponder on it. Is Christ not saying that He is the Law? Indeed He did give the law to man and thus He was saying I am God, heed my words. All know that the Jews were more concerned with the Law of Moses and ignored the very God who led them out of Egypt.
@Exodus314IAM I don't know if I necessarily believe in being "saved." I think that it takes more than that. You need to continue to uphold the commandments, and always strive to be christlike. It doesn't just happen you have to be willing to use Christ's sacrifice.
@0LittleDancerGurl0 So God said unless you do, do, do, do you will not be worth of being saved? Salvation is found in Jesus, and only in Jesus, who is God in flesh (John 1:1,14), and who died for our sins and rose from the dead (1 Cor. 15:1-4).
Seek God, seek the truth in Jesus of the Bible not of Joseph Smith (a man).
Im gratefull for the Restoration. Im thankfull for the blessings I have recieved and yes, I will defend Joseph because that is the Honest thing to do. I will not ignore the Spirit to please men and their reasoning. Sir, youre a good man, did Joseph injure you, his worl has only done me good. He is no God for us but we appreciate that he cared.
@llewellleo You say Joseph cared? how did he care? by the acts of polygamy? by creating a false Jesus, and gods? making God into a man and saying we can become gods? This is the same path Satan followed by trying to trick us into thinking we could br like God. Watch out for people who bring to you a different gosple and a false Christ. Seek the truth, God loves you and wants you to seek the truth.
@Exodus314IAM Polygamy was practiced by the ancient patriachs. Abraham, Jacob. If you condemn Joseph for this should you not also condemn them. Why is it different in your mind? Early Christians also believed that they could become like God and I am not ashamed of these beliefs which are true. I know God loves me and he has shown me the way. I will not reject His inspiration in my life. I know your intentions are cincere but I am better off where I am. I will not leave it.
@llewellleo First God did not command them to practice polygamy they did it on there own. it was a sin but we are all sinners so what makes our sins any worse than thiers? But to say that God commanded polygamy is false when you are like the Barreans and use the Bible to test what false prophets teach.
Next and more important is, if you died today (it could happen) are you saved, are you 100% sure that you will spend eternity with God in Heaven? If not then why?
@Exodus314IAM Did you ask God, did he tell you this?. Can you truelly pass such judgements while you say there are no prophets. God will be my judge, not you Sir. I trust God, I know He will not deceive me as He did not deceive Joseph, I know this through the Inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Surely God is a mercifull God, a God of love, does He not express this love so plainly, I love Luke 15 and im sure you do too.Did Christ condemn? surely He taught love and repentance.
@DuBarryFilms The sad thing is God is showing you the truth every day, it is up to you to seek that truth. I knwo for a fact that you have had your doubts in the LDS ways and teachings, why not seek the truth instead of using your feelings to deside? Be like the Bereans and test what is being told to you and see if it is of God or not.
Question is when will men turn to the Lord for wisdom? Why not now? He has shaken my foundations and so too did the earth shake beneath my feet, I was smitten by the sun, bruised and an enemy of God. Finally I fell in the dust before Him and He said its too late.
Also, I love the Bible, grew up with it. God was never a dead God like baal, why would he suddenly become so. Joseph was a man, a true prophet, God surely us a witness and will confirm this, this is how I know he was no fraud.
@llewellleo Baptism for the dead is mentioned in 1 Cor. 15:29, it is the practice of baptizing a living person on behalf of a dead person. Though 1 Cor. 15:29 mentions this concept, it is not saying that we as Christians baptize the dead. He is speaking of the context of physical resurrection (1 Cor. 15:12-34) and he asks if it is not true, then why are "they" baptized for them, not "we."
@Exodus314IAM Ive heard that interpretation before. To be honest history debunks it. It was practiced untill the fourth century. People were baptised by proxy as is done in the Church of Jesus Christ. I doubt Joseph was aware of the details and it confirms to me that he was a true prophet. If people reject this or not does not change the fact.
Ive done my research on the History of Christianity, the changes that occured including the removal of certain beliefs by ancient Catholosism. If one views the original Church before the changes yoU will find the Church is not a cult as some incorrectly state, it is a restoration.
@llewellleo Just a little FYI the Christian way of life is a branch of the Jewish faith not Catholicism. People who really one do not know or trust the Bible will make this mistake alot.
The olive trees in Romans 11 1 is Israel the other wild one is the gentiles, Isaiah 11:1 “rod” is Netzer (branch in Hebrew). Christianos (Christ the anointed one or followers of Christ) is Greek for Christians, Netzarim is Hebrew for Christians from the root word Netzer or from the stump of the tree.
Christians come from the root of the Jewish faith; our roots are from old test, torra and prophets.
John 1:10-11, Acts 2:41 Paul, Israel is the tree bearing fruit, Acts 10:45 the genitals were grafted into the covenant. Romans 11:17-22 Take branches from a wild olive tree and graft into an old tree v20. The Gentiles are non-Jewish people. v23-25 when God completes a full # of gentiles believers, God will turn to Israel and they will be saved and remove the gentile branches v21 (the rapture).
Hope this helps, oh and another FYI the removal of the branchs in v21 which is the Christians, some believe this will be the rapture but I am not 100% on that it is just speculation since we really are not sure when the rapture will take place. one thing is for sure these things must take place first.
No, your Jo S, didn't predict the civil war. He claimed there would be a war starting in the south, involving all nations, with slaves rising against their masters, anti-mormons struck down, and mormons brought to power. It never happened. Matter of fact, the mormons quit publishing the claim until it looked like it might finally happen, because JS said it was suppose to happen soon - only a civil war arose.
Have those boys in white shirts stopped by, again, yet?
P.S: Those missionary boys will not be able to answer any of your tough questions. They are, after all, just boys. They are only "sent forth", to teach "the basics", about the Mormon Crutch. They will likely tell you that you need "milk before [meat": and they are there to just bottle-feed you, until you cry, "MORE MILK, PLEASE!"
It is better to ask "seasoned people" about the tough issues.
There is "absolutely" no "wiggle room", for a prophet to prophesy falsely: it is not a game of craps (where there is the rolling of dice); nor is it a bunch of pontificated, presumptuous "hot air" that makes for prophecy.
(God SAYS what was to happen to prophets who "spoke as a man", when prophesying: "...THAT PROPHET SHALL DIE!" --Deut. 18:20-22)
A couple of real nice young men just gave me the Book of Mormon to read. I told them I would read it. There appears to be no context or cooking of the books that can reconcile these failed prophesies which you have provided. I found that most people indoctrinated into a religion from childhood cannot be changed, but at least I can ask them about these matters when they stop by again. Thanks.
Joseph was an exeptional man, even though he suffered greatly and the roads he traveled were hard and unfriendly he continues on the straight and narrow with a spirit few men manifest these days. Men may speak evil of this man but if they had met him would they not say this is a man of love, a man who loves God and his fellow men. He was and is a true follower of Christ and all the evil words of men shall not have power. Many shall still hear and know he was and is a true and honest man.
@llewellleo You forgot he was a prophet, ". . .I prophesy in the name of the Lord God of Israel, unless the United States redress the wrongs committed upon the Saints in the state of Missouri and punish the crimes committed by her officers that in a few years the government will be utterly overthrown and wasted, and there will not be so much as a potsherd left . . . " a false prophet.
@Exodus314IAM Also don't forget that we must have the certificate of Joseph Smith to get our mansion in heaven according to Brigham Young. "From the day that the Priesthood was taken from the earth to the winding-up scene of all things, every man and woman must have the certificate of Joseph Smith, junior, as a passport to their entrance into the mansion where God and Christ are -- I with you and you with me. I cannot go there without his consent"
Brigham Young also said "He (Joseph Smith) is the man through whom God has spoken... yet I would not like to call him a savior, though in a certain capacity he was a god to us, and is to the nations of the earth, and will continue to be."
@Exodus314IAM Show me where this doctrine is taught in our faith, simply, it is not.You blokes make a habit of taking a few snippets and present it in such a way to create a false impression. Brigham said and wrote many things in his life but in the end his personal opinions did not become doctrine. Im sure in reflection of your life many will use snippets in the same way but in the end will they give a true reflection or create a new man according to their understanding?
@Salal40 Are you sure you know what a Testimony is? Go to a testimony meeting and find out because that is not what I was sharing, rather an assesment of a man people know little about. What you read here from some is not a true reflection of who he was but rather thoughts expressed by lazy souls who depend on second hand accounts. Joseph is hated not because he was an evil man but because he was good, something the world cannot tolerate.
@llewellleo Joseph was a good man according to what standards? our human standards? or Gods standards? So being good or not has nothing to do with if he was teaching the truth or another Jesus? lets check this out, Jesus the first spirit to be born in heaven was Jesus, (Mormon Doctrine, p. 129) or God (the word) in John 1? Were Jesus and Satan are spirit brothers and we were all born as siblings in heaven to them both? or did Jesus create everything even Satan (Colossians 1:15–17)?
Then the God, "The Father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man’s..." (D&C 130:22)? or is God Spirit without a body (John 4:24; Luke 24:39)?? these are just two, but are core to why Mormonism is a cult and in no way Christian, seek the truth and seek God!
Sir, he is not behind the Church of Jesus Christ and never will stand with it, but confuse people he will. I think he shudders when he sees missionaries walk down the street, when men open their doors and listen. He is afraid men will feel the Spirit and his work will be harder. He hates happy people and he knows the gospel brings people joy. Sir,ask God , He does not lie.
Currently a number of prominent so called Evangelist are being investigated in the US for fraud including some prominent ones who have also been exposed as liers because of false healings. These are the men you should concern yourself with because frankly the Apostles live very humble lives in comparison so having done so much research im sure you are aware of this.
Yet with all the research you fail to supply a sufficient rebuttal because you well know what I stated is correct. As far as I know the very men continue to pay tithing from personal funds and other offerings. There is also the principle of missionaries who recieved help to pay back after their mission the funds the Church supplied. This in no free ride and work is what these folk do.
Are you talking about the living allowance? Apostles travel the world doing the work of the Church and God and certain costs are covered, other than that they are men who worked hard as top proffesionals having excelled and have sufficient money to live in comfort.Church money is strictly governed and I doubt Apostles would use the meager amounts granted for purposes other than that for which it was intended unlike so many ministers in the world who live lavish lifestyles .
I did some research on Mormonism and the Ghost Dance of 1891 and yes, Mormons can claim some credit for getting it going. It's too complicated for here. Jack Wilson, the prophet of ghost dance was raised Mormon. But it's much more than that.
There is Archeological proof but the Chucrh does not focus on it because its concern is with the Spiritual well being of of Heavenly Fathers childern in line with what is taught in the New Testament. any man who claims there is no proof has clearly not researched this matter or depended on sources who have not either.
Laugh at the concept that the Church is a money grubbing scam. Its a silly idea because there are no paid ministers in the Church. Also the Church has a sterling record when it comes to helping and serving the poor and this is recognised worldwide. A few who truelly do not know the Church would make such comments. We do not use the cross as a symbol because we focus on Christ, He is our the example, a symbol of life opposed to the cross which is a symbol of death. All Christ went through was fr
I think you are a bit confused, Judah was a tribe.10 of the tribes were scattered and to use Jewish genes to try determine roots of the other tribes is a bit laughable. We are talking about people who chose different wives and paths. Its an illogical approach and simply uncientific.
Od that you do not mention his prophesies that have come true including the Civil war. Also notable that some writings presented was not prophecy but in fact insperation given to individuals which they were well free to reject.
............Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me.
Why then do mormons HAVE to add words to this verse that in the Bible that NEVER existed in any manuscripts. The word they add are "........on this planet", by doing this they try make God out to be liar, as God clearly demonstrates ALL through out His Holy Scriptues that there is only ONE God in all of Heaven & earth.
iam mean seriously jewish people are known for there excellent record keeping. they can trace there blood line back to the 12 tribes! go take some native american blood (israelites according to mormons) and send it into the jewish labs and watch them laugh at you.not only that but how some of the israelites manged to find there way to america is stupid considering the distance and lack of means.and then how there inteligence downgraded lol went from civilized to loin cloths and pointy rocks.rofl
mormonism is such a joke on so many levels that is sad.. i am a born again christian, i was raised mormon so i know plenty about them..the pearl of great price, doctrines and covanents and the book of mormon are not consistant with themsleves let alone eachother. they contradict the bible in about a zillion different places. and to top it off theres ZERO archeological, historical, proof for there crazy claims about jesus coming to america to preach to the indians, who they say are ancient israel
What get's me. It says on the front of the "church". Church of Jesus Christ" blah blah blah.
Funny thing, when I was sort of pushed to join that church when I was a kid. My first day I wore a cross. They got so offended by it and said it was evil, lol. Second, they wouldnt baptize me until I learned this and that and how we all will go to different planets. They want to save lives? Just because I didnt learn something Im going to burn in hell. Its all a money grubbing scam! Joe Smith! LMFAO!
@ArBiTeR0000Tactical Dude, I can tell you're lying. Either you started drinking & stuff like that or you were kicked out by the church. Which is it? Nobody in the church says the cross is evil.
@majinish My mother certainly thought it was evil, as did many of my neighbors. My friend's parents wouldn't let me step into their house with a cross around my neck. I'm very thankful I am out of any religion. The Bible teaches that Christ is all you need. :)
There are no "false prophecy's" by Joseph Smith..... EVERY ONE of the so-called "false prophecy's" are misrepresentations of the facts, don't tell the whole truth, are hypocritical using standards that would condemn Biblical prophecy's, etc., thus false conclusions are made of the prophecy's. When you don't use all the truth and you use double standards, of course his prophecy's will look "false". Fact is, is when you do use all the facts, and you don't use double standards, NONE are false.
@leeuniverse Really, this is great. but now what do YOU think? or do you just do as told by the "church". Trust God, God gave us the Bible to help us understand the truth He has for us. What is a false prophjet again (Deuteronomy 18:20–22)?
@Exodus314IAM Hey MORON.... You are the one pulling out anti-mormon arguments, they aren't from the "Bible" idiot, so I'm not allowed to post where responces to those LYING arguments can be found???
Why don't you actually read the pages and see what "really" a false prophet is etc. They specifically address your "misuse" of Deuteronomy 18.
Further! FAIR is not "the Church". It is made up of volunteer LDS intellectuals and scholars who are responding to the LIES you scumbags tell of us.
@leeuniverse "Hey MORON" you spelled it wrong its MORMON but same meaning so its ok. I am lying? PROVE IT! I challenge you to put up or shut up! YOU WILL LOOSE, the most important thing is you are loosing your salvation by following a false prophet, trust Jesus and Jesus alone forget Moroni, Joseph Smith, Brigham Young and all the other "men" of Mormonism. The Bible has the the answers, as long as you trust it.
@Exodus314IAM YOU trust man made religion, not the Bible alone as you think. I was in MANY major and minor christian religions before I knew of mormonism, and because of that experience I accepted NOTHING the various religions said, and just read the Bible as it was, and seeing all the contradictions & differences between the book and the various religions between each other. ONLY when I came upon mormonism did a religion actually IN FULL FIT THE BIBLE. You don't know what you think you know.
@leeuniverse Yeah I knew there was no way you could show or prove anything you say except for the "feelings" rebuttle. The Bible has NO Contradictions, if it does then it is all untrustworthy. Funny thing is the LDS have the JSV and never use it, even with all your "prophets" they cannot fix the Bible??? That is because the Bible does not need fixing, it is 100% correct!
@Exodus314IAM I said NOTHING about anything you just stated, so your response is nothing but "feelings". Didn't say anything about Bible contradictions, or fixing the Bible. In fact, I made clear I knew Mormonism from the BIBLE ALONE before I knew of mormonism. As to BOM evidences, if your actually interested you need to study. Start with "Lehi in the Wilderness - 81 New Documented Evidences" and their DVD's on the same subject at NEPHIPROJECT . com THEN read other books from Deseret Books.
@leeuniverse I know you try to cling to the Book of Mormon for some small piece to be proven. The fact is that the book of Nephi plagiarizes the Bible in the Exodus from Jerusalem. Then the “children of Lehi" as they wonder the wilderness for 8 years and reach “Bountiful"? Where is Bountiful exactly? The cities of the Bible have been found, not this so called city.
Then the BOM copied Noah and Nephi built a boat (which is poorly designed) and finish the ship in one day by himself while the others mocked him, can you say plagiarism again?? While the whole tribe or nation sailed the next day, on the trip they danced and "yea, they were lifted up unto exceeding rudeness.” When Nephi tried to stop them they tied him up, Look at what Nephi does next by some invisable powers...
@Exodus314IAM But, I won't hold my breath that you'll actually DO ANYTHING to find out the real truth, after all, you already think you "know it all" about us. And you actually "think" your objective and knowledgable about mormonism.... haa haa
15 years as a faithful mormon before that a general christian, anti-mormon and anti-religion and yet I STILL study Christian History and scholarship, STILL study anti-mormonism. Of course, I also study the best LDS scholarship. You're brainwashed.
@leeuniverse You say you were a christian but fell away, let me ask you this. As a Christian did you believe that it was a religion? Do you believe that Christian denominations are different religions? If you do then you were never a TRUE CHRISTIAN...a true Christian knows that Christianity is NOT A RELIGION, to be a true Christian it is a way of life. You must be Born Again and change you being to the ways of Jesus and Jesus alone! Trust in Jesus Christ alone for my salvaion is all we need.
@stepheng2010 The bottom line on the Ezekiel topic is the one stick for Judah, and for the children of Israel could not be the Bible. Ezekiel did not write the Bible. He wrote only one book. God used 40 men writing on 66 separate scrolls to produce the Bible. Writing the Bible took a period of 1600 years.
The other stick for Joseph, the stick of Ephraim could not be the Book of Mormon. Mormons claim that The Book of Mormon is an abridgment of ancient records written by Mormon and Moroni.
I learn from the scriptures but I am guided by the Holy Ghost. As far as translations go, try to think of how many times the Bible was copied down by hand onto various mediums. Then think of how easily typos could be made. Engllish to Hebrew isn't easy. Now think what would happen if it got into the hands of an evil scribe. Satan wants to destroy God and if he can do it by corrupting the Bible, then he's going to try his best. The King James Version is the most accepted Bible, so why not use it?
@stepheng2010 You would think as many times as the Bible has been attacked and many people/groups have tried to change the WORD OF GOD that there would be some old scripture found that would contradict it right?? Then, through archeology, we find some old scrolls (dead sea scrolls) dating back to the BC times and they are word for word the same as the Bible we have today...Now what about the Book of Mormon? there must be something here to show its true? Some old tribe? something????... nothing..
Well considering I am Mormon, I believe in the Bible as far as it is translated correctly. I know there have been many translations of it meant to mislead us. I'm sure you've heard all this Mormon talk before because you obviously understand that I believe the sticks are scrolls. And why wouldn't they be? Just because they say sticks in Kings doesn't mean they're the same sticks used in Ezekiel. I'm just saying.
@stepheng2010 I know the LDS use the KJV of the Bible, funny they do not use the JSV?? How do you know that the KJV is the most correct? How does translating something make it less authentic? Is the Book of Mormon translated into German less correct than the English version? "I'm just saying" How do you know what you read in the KJV is correct? If one part is incorrect you cannot trust any of it, for it may mislead you!
Next the Bible is clear on what it means by sticks (aits) they are not scrolls. When there are different types of something there are different words for example the word "love" there are different words for love each meaning something different. Agapao love in John 3:16 charitable, selfless, altruistic, and unconditional, Phileo love in John 21:15-17 this is a brotherly love.
So you believe in the Bible, right? Well, what could it possibly mean in Ezekiel 37:19 when it talks about the two sticks? Oh yeah, maybe it was talking about the Book of Mormon.
"All truth passes through three stages: First, it is ridiculed; Second, it is violently opposed; and
@stepheng2010 lol, that makes me laugh sorry, first you have to read the verse in context read Ezekiel 37:15-20. Mormons say the stick are two books? one the Bible and the other the Book of Mormon...but when have they ever written anything on sticks? These are talking about litteral sticks (aits). Read 1 Kings 17:12 the woman was gathering "aits" (sticks) not scrolls.

CONT'D (re: prophets prophesying)

That is another Mormon lie. "Generation" was defined in General Conference as those who were alive at the time of the prophecy.
Jack44M 9 months ago
@Jack44M "Generation" has several meanings. If "generation" was confined to one definition, then that would make Jesus a false prophet, as he told his disciples about the signs of his second coming, then stated that "this generation shall not pass, til all these things be fulfilled". (Matt 24:34, Mark 13:30, Luke 21:32)

Unless your apostles lie when speaking in GC, generation was clearly defined and defined for THAT prophecy.
Jack44M 2 months ago
@JediLDS To understand generation (genea) you must understand the context. you see first of all it is from the root word "genos" meaning kindred or family. It can be used to denote a physical family generation or bloodline. It can be used to denote the spiritual family or generation of evil. And it can be used to denote the spiritual family or generation of Christ. The problem with JS prophecy is he added the age of 85 which makes it a time referance.

@JediLDS Mormonism holds to the doctrine of a Triad, not a Trinity. Even though it claims the word Trinity as its teaching, it does not hold to the doctrine of the Trinity. In Mormonism, the Father has a body of flesh and bones and used to be a man on another world who became a god and came to this world. Jesus is the first-born between god and his goddess wife, Jesus has become a god.
Do you know Mormonism is the question...
Exodus314IAM 2 months ago
@Exodus314IAM ... Well, you almost got something right about Mormonism. We do believe that God the Father has a glorified body of flesh and bone. He "used to be a man on another world who became a god and came to this world"? Speculation and not doctrine. Jesus was the first born of the Father in the flesh. We believe in the godhead. "Triad" is never used in describing the nature of the godhead. Triad is a generic term that literally means "group of three" and can be applied to anything.
JediLDS 2 months ago
@JediLDS "group of three" yet they never knew each other? Isaiah 44:6-8; 45:5, 21-22; Hosea 13:4; Moses 1:6. Even if you want to use your own text look at 3 Nephi 15:5 your jesus said he "was in the beginning with God and WAS God," not a god. So a "triad" being a GROUP of three would be three different and seprate gods in a group.
Again seek the truth my friend! (Please)!

Seek the truth, you can save your whole family!

@Exodus314IAM I believe that there are three members of the godhead. Jesus Christ, Heavenly Father (god), and the holy ghost. The are seperated in being, but one in purpose. What religion are you? I would like to research it so I can better explain things. THANKS :)
0LittleDancerGurl0 10 months ago
@0LittleDancerGurl0 I am a Born Again Christian, I am a non-denominational Jesus of the Bible loving and following person who knows that I am saved by the actions and life/death/resurection of my only God Jesus Christ who is also God the Father and the Holy Spirit which are all the same and only God. This is known as the trinity which Mormons do not understand, but if you know and trust the Bible then you will know and understand the truth in God!
Seek Gods truth my friend!

Seek the truth, trust the Bible.

0LittleDancerGurl0 10 months ago
@0LittleDancerGurl0 Why would you be worried about what anyone said? You need to be worried about if you are saved or not...Mostly what God says!
Exodus314IAM 10 months ago
@Exodus314IAM I don't know if I necessarily believe in being "saved." I think that it takes more than that. You need to continue to uphold the commandments, and always strive to be christlike. It doesn't just happen you have to be willing to use Christ's sacrifice.
0LittleDancerGurl0 10 months ago
@0LittleDancerGurl0 So God said unless you do, do, do, do you will not be worth of being saved? Salvation is found in Jesus, and only in Jesus, who is God in flesh (John 1:1,14), and who died for our sins and rose from the dead (1 Cor. 15:1-4).
Seek God, seek the truth in Jesus of the Bible not of Joseph Smith (a man).

llewellleo 11 months ago
@llewellleo You say Joseph cared? how did he care? by the acts of polygamy? by creating a false Jesus, and gods? making God into a man and saying we can become gods? This is the same path Satan followed by trying to trick us into thinking we could br like God. Watch out for people who bring to you a different gosple and a false Christ. Seek the truth, God loves you and wants you to seek the truth.

Exodus314IAM 11 months ago
@Exodus314IAM Polygamy was practiced by the ancient patriachs. Abraham, Jacob. If you condemn Joseph for this should you not also condemn them. Why is it different in your mind? Early Christians also believed that they could become like God and I am not ashamed of these beliefs which are true. I know God loves me and he has shown me the way. I will not reject His inspiration in my life. I know your intentions are cincere but I am better off where I am. I will not leave it.
llewellleo 11 months ago
@llewellleo First God did not command them to practice polygamy they did it on there own. it was a sin but we are all sinners so what makes our sins any worse than thiers? But to say that God commanded polygamy is false when you are like the Barreans and use the Bible to test what false prophets teach.
Next and more important is, if you died today (it could happen) are you saved, are you 100% sure that you will spend eternity with God in Heaven? If not then why?
Trust God!
Exodus314IAM 10 months ago
@Exodus314IAM Did you ask God, did he tell you this?. Can you truelly pass such judgements while you say there are no prophets. God will be my judge, not you Sir. I trust God, I know He will not deceive me as He did not deceive Joseph, I know this through the Inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Surely God is a mercifull God, a God of love, does He not express this love so plainly, I love Luke 15 and im sure you do too.Did Christ condemn? surely He taught love and repentance.

Hope this helps!
Exodus314IAM 11 months ago
@Exodus314IAM Ive heard that interpretation before. To be honest history debunks it. It was practiced untill the fourth century. People were baptised by proxy as is done in the Church of Jesus Christ. I doubt Joseph was aware of the details and it confirms to me that he was a true prophet. If people reject this or not does not change the fact.

Exodus314IAM 11 months ago
Christians come from the root of the Jewish faith; our roots are from old test, torra and prophets.
John 1:10-11, Acts 2:41 Paul, Israel is the tree bearing fruit, Acts 10:45 the genitals were grafted into the covenant. Romans 11:17-22 Take branches from a wild olive tree and graft into an old tree v20. The Gentiles are non-Jewish people. v23-25 when God completes a full # of gentiles believers, God will turn to Israel and they will be saved and remove the gentile branches v21 (the rapture).
Exodus314IAM 11 months ago

Like you, I often quote Deuteronomy 18:20-22
There is "absolutely" no "wiggle room", for a prophet to prophesy falsely: it is not a game of craps (where there is the rolling of dice); nor is it a bunch of pontificated, presumptuous "hot air" that makes for prophecy.
(God SAYS what was to happen to prophets who "spoke as a man", when prophesying: "...THAT PROPHET SHALL DIE!" --Deut. 18:20-22)
...AND JOSEPH DIED!

A couple of real nice young men just gave me the Book of Mormon to read. I told them I would read it. There appears to be no context or cooking of the books that can reconcile these failed prophesies which you have provided.

Brigham Young also said "He (Joseph Smith) is the man through whom God has spoken... yet I would not like to call him a savior, though in a certain capacity he was a god to us, and is to the nations of the earth, and will continue to be."

Exodus314IAM 1 year ago
@Exodus314IAM Mormons also believe Mormon and Moroni to be descendants of Ephraim and Manasseh, and that Joseph Smith was of the house of Ephraim.

The King James Version is the most accepted Bible, so why not use it?
stepheng2010 1 year ago
@stepheng2010 You would think as many times as the Bible has been attacked and many people/groups have tried to change the WORD OF GOD that there would be some old scripture found that would contradict it right?? Then, through archeology, we find some old scrolls (dead sea scrolls) dating back to the BC times and they are word for word the same as the Bible we have today...Now what about the Book of Mormon? there must be something here to show its true?

"All truth passes through three stages: First, it is ridiculed; Second, it is violently opposed; and
Third, it is accepted as self-evident."
