that may be a problem...i know blackcat games has it...midnight torrents...you can try making ur own iso from an original copy but i had a hella hard time...also 1.4 extreme broke this i think so older custom firmware if you get no response at first....

Thanks, the one at blackcats have too much restrictions, like u neeed to reg and certain clients are banned. I'm downlaoding a really fast one rite now, but ppo said it gets stuck at 96%. idk i wannatry it anyways. Thanks for ure help

Basically, its a patched Game image burned to a disc, then ran, its modded to allow executuion of arbitrary code. but you have to have the kernel version 4562 i think. something like that. some games ask you to update your console, and which you do, you cannot downgrade back, you can find out in console settings, its like K2-NNNN-0 where NNNN is your kernel number.

ok. so there is a exploit in king kong. How the hell do you make the game mess up in order to run linux, and can you run ANY linux like Fedora? I have used Ubuntu and its ok. But I really like Fedora 9. Is it simple, or is there a lot of work involved? If you can help me, please message me.

work was a pain but doable and minor cost 1 cd 1 blank dl one copy of king kong....

you can use fedora to my knowledge but i would not personally....

game iso is patched with edited shader in windows prior to burn

This may sound really stupid and been asked a million times before but this probably requires a flashed drive to get the burned game to play. I don't even know how to flash my elite.

This was not done using a cheat device. Basically my 360 dvd drive had to be flashed to read burnt media and then I had to patch a backup of the king kong iso to boot to a linux live cd....

You have to be on a certain kernal loaded on the 360 4532 is the one I used. Then the drive has to be flashed to read burned discs. Once you have both those done you need to patch a backup iso of the king kong 360 game...then boot that backup so the tray can eject without pushin the eject button. then load linux cd.....

When the user is in this mode it looses the 360 dashboard functionality etc. But the mode is triggered by an edited iso of the King Kong game. When you power mschine off and reboot if that iso is not inside and the user does not trigger the exploit the 360 returns to stock plays games etc....kinda like dual boot....

all the cpu power and it takes 4mins to completely load, is that normal or because the linux code is optimized for the xenon cpu ?

Well I would say that it is loading the live cd into ram. So that could feasibly take time. I have little linux experience. My unbiased, objective, opinion is once loaded up it runs quite fast. That was part of the reason for the vid. For people new to the hack I wanted to show it from king kong boot to gnome live cd desktop. Since the 360 doesnt loose funtionality (just can't play latest kernal update games) I am using it as kind of a linux learn box/web browser.

If you are thinking I did this hack via a serial cable you would be incorrect. No computer was used with this hack other than to burn my king kong patch disc and my live cd. That's it. This is a dvr recording of a sony t.v.. Basically this king kong patch was setup to look in the cd drive to trigger the live disc...
