  • Hi, in Hassakeh (city in Northeastern Syria), a sandstorm of this magnitude has never occurred in the last 100 years.

You stop recording because you wanna get out of there before it gets you! Pretty suffocating!

  • @nhraim Where You There What Does It look Like in The inside Does IT hurt ur eyes Do You die? Can u go out. or have to hide is it a mess after why is it soo big never been in one and never will ps does it destroy anything? is this A bad storm?

but Sub7anAllah kaif wo wain wo mata ye9eer kida kabeer zay al sa7ab?

  • ghabra = غبرا

  • thank you

  • See, nothing good comes from Iraq...

  • civilization came from there! time you get back to your history books!

  • How long did it last?

  • It didn't last that long because it was travelling real fast, but it too more than 5 hours for the air to be completely clear.

  • woah damn that thing its serious what happened when it reached your home?? was the wind strong?? tell us

  • Thanks for your comment... it's the first impression that stays imprinted in your mind for a while, let me tell you that one questions himself when he sees it coming toward you with its might and size. Questions like, what's happening? or am I safe? or even some apocalyptic questions like... is this really the end?

  • Then when it's there all around, you kindof suffocate because its dusty because of the thin particles (sky is yellow) and the ~80km/h wind transports the sand everywhere and anywhere... houses are not best isolated so you kindof get sand in the house. I guess its part of the slow desertification of the once rich agriculture area... since the 3rd millennium B.C.E.

  • serious....wow!

  • Impressionnant, j'imagine qu'être face à ce type phénomène naturel doit être encore plus incroyable !

  • That is SCARY looking! How often does this occur?

  • First time in the last 100 years in N-E Syria. (I have been told by elders) cheers
