Why do people hate the Pandarans. Theu have been in Warcraft for AGES and Pandaren Brewmaster was my favourite hero in Warcraft 3 next to Blademaster. People think the pandas arnt creative and their so stupid. I disagree.
Illidan is know as the Betrayer because he was a punk bitch. Malfurion was 10 times stronger. Thrall himself never wanted to incur the wrath of Malf because he knew that it would be folly. Horde for life, but God damn, Malf was a bad ass motherfucker. No wonder Druids have been IMBA since the Burning Crusade.
I think I'm an alright drawer, no where near the skill of Zooc, but I suck at shading, so I just don't bother, I've looked at tutorial after tutorial and my shading still looks terrible. That's probably why I could never draw something the way Zooc does with as much detail, with drawing shading is usually the element of detail, unfortunately for me..
Illidan is THE MOST interesting and badass end boss in WoW. The only reason people think he is boring is because Blizzard wasted him. They cheated him out of the ending he needed. Good drawing, but you have no idea what you're talking about.
Illidan's story isn't all that special, but he's nontheless still a good character...
Regardless, if you can't set aside personal views when you do requests for people, you can't do art well, regardless of skill. My own is fluctuating yes, and it probably does for all artists, but not because of personal matters over a drawing...

Your art skills are very impressive but your commentary was lacking. Your meandered about and didn't really get into WHY Illidan is such an interesting character. It's totally fine that you don't like him, your opinion is valid, but it feels like you glanced over his wiki article, made some bullet points, then threw it all out.
All in all you didn't say much more then, "I don't like him, he did some stuff, he's boring and I don't know or care why."
WoW may be a dying game that I haven't played since March, but the Lore is still pretty good, but Blizzard is probably going rape it in the ass with it's Panda penis.
From my understanding, he uses other pictures to get an understanding of what the character's supposed to look like, then he adds his own touch and draws his version.

To be honest Zooc to say you don't like the character all that much this is one of your best drawings, very fine detail but that's just my opinion, Like and favorited
He never really stayed true with his allegiance to the Burning Legion. When he got the Demon Soul he switched back to the Night Elves. I'm pretty sure thats why Sargeras was a mad nerd and why Illidan curled up in his little hole (the Black Temple) because he "betrayed" Sargeras and didn't want him to find where he was.
I love Illidan as a "villain" because theres a lot of debate whether he is or not. He's a pretty complex character if you really look into it.
Fun Fact: Zooc actually does the commentary while he draws--originally in an incredibly slow, deep voice--so that it sounds normal when he speeds up the video.

TYVM for vid. I think it's great that you give background story for the things you draw, even if Illidan's is more boring than other I think he's still an amzing character. Great drawing! But just have some problems with the lore bit. Its almost all wrong... He was extremly good at druidish, some say even better then malfurion. But he let his brother walk that path and dident want to get in his way. Ilidan dident betray malfurion when he got the demon eye, he did what he belived was right. The 2 well was stupid of him but that was the first betrayal...
@wealthdigger I don't claim to be an expert of Illidan, but, I from what I remember, Illidan couldn't grasp druidism, desipte being born with golden eyes (which were beleived to mean great druidic power, although they actually meant great destiny). You're probably right, but thought I may aswell say it :P

Things Zooc forgot to mention : ILLIDAN ALMOST KILLED THE LICH KING, AND ALMOST KILLED ARTHAS! He wasn't a villain. He was just rejected by everyone. Everyone hated him, so he went mad.
I have seen some negative comments and all i can say is that i would love to see the people who make negative comments on zooc's vids try to do better, in fact i would pay to see them try it.
Good world zooc came out amazing as usual and i honestly can't see any flaws in the drawing, when you said it was "OK" it made me giggle because i thought it was outstanding.

I cannot help but agree that WoW is a dying game. Though to me it started to die after The Lich King edition. All I can see in Blizzards actions now is the fact they are milking this cow long enough to bring a new cow up to market.
@PrimalRot The things is, WoW has been "dying" for 5 years now. It is changing, and is nothing like what is was used to be, but I think it'll keep going strong (by that I mean about 8-10 times the subs the 'smaller budget' MMOs can sport) for a few years, then - if Blizzard sees the idea and the time fit - it'll probably end up using a Free to Play model, opening up space for the upcoming new MMO.
Illidan is my favorite character from WoW so thank you very much for drawing him. :) He's a loser, but I can't help it so I'm really grateful for the effort. You're the best! ^^

It is changing, and is nothing like what is was used to be, but I think it'll keep going strong (by that I mean about 8-10 times the subs the 'smaller budget' MMOs can sport) for a few years, then - if Blizzard sees the idea and the time fit - it'll probably end up using a Free to Play model, opening up space for the upcoming new MMO.

So either way, blizzard is still "Winning" and if Wow every dies, or stays dead we still lose, Plus when titan launches there still getting money
Wow isn't the only thing they make, Wow is very enjoyable and people are getting bored with the art of it, they change that I bet people will come back, plus adding in a few new animations, more ingame cinematics
