don't get this gun. Really. Bushmaster is not the best makers of AR's (IMO). Wait for Remington to make or release there version of the ACR since they now own Bushmaster. Not worth the 2300$. you can make a Custom badass AR for that amount of money and still out perform this rifle.
@gabebokmaUSMC You can have the Remington version if you're lucky enough to be in the military. Something tells me you're a Marine (look at me, private eye), so if you actually go to an FFL dealer, you should be good to go, assuming you have whatever licence whatever state you're in requires. The only difference between the Bushmaster and Remington versions is actually select-fire, though. They all come from the same place.
yes thats true that only people in the military can have the Rem version but Rem is WAY better than bushmaster. IMO. i choose not to do the extra paper work as well as the time and money for getting the full auto version. Bushmaster just has to make the ACR more compatible with AR parts then it will be a better gun. The ONLY thing that they took off from the AR is the extractor, nothing else. not even the bolt is the same. shoots .223/5.56 but nothing is the same.
@gabebokmaUSMC I agree that Remington is superior. I'm under the impression that the ACR uses the same type of barrel as AR platforms, but I may be mistaken. I don't want full-auto, I never use full auto, and don't need to dump my magazine if four seconds. I've never carried the SAW on patrol and I don't want to. However, as much as I like the AR platform, there are a great many issues with it that I think the ACR is doing a good job of avoiding, so I don't want it to be too AR-ish.

Its not just for covert missions..... 7.62 round is more powerful then 5.56 round. US troops had problems in iraq since iraqies would ambush them with RPG which has a range of 600m at 400-500m they could not employ 5.56 to deal with threat. So they brought in M14 to gain range.
@Ouija121085 just to tell you, the 7.62 M43 they say here is different than the 7.62 NATO. the 7.62 M43 is only effective at aprox. 300m (400m for later ak models), and the 7.62 NATO is effective at aprox. 1000m, and the 7.62 NATO has a bigger punch.
@motabikeboy No, i don't really play COD, i'm more of a Battlefield fan. But i also have and shoot firearms. The ACR isn't THAT impressive, shit i'd take an AR over it. AK74 is still one of the most reliable firearm and it's plenty accurate for what it was meant for. Plus the newer ones with the polymer furniture are so light and recoil is minimal compared to an AR. ACR is a mall ninja gun.

@av3nger3 Say you've been placed into a front line base in an area heavily guarded by your ak using enemy. Instead of waiting or sending supplies through to your base every time you run dry of ammo what you can do instead is kill your enemy and go take their ammo and then use it to 'farm' more ammo. That way you'd rarely run dry of ammo in a place where supplies are hard to send to.

Great weapon, ideas are there. But with budget cuts and frozen D.O.D funding, we'll keep M4 and M16 for at least a decade thanks to congress. Btw the weapon is there i think only few special operations units got it though.

as good as this gun is nothing will ever replace the m16 or the m4 they are cheap light easy to use and very versatile. They said the same thing about the S.C.A.R but the army is the only branch i know that uses them, and only a few special people get them.
@MrAntaresX Unfortunately the HK G36 can't shoot alternatively 5.5mm and 7.62mm bullets, also the parts are not ergonomic and fully dismuntable for changing with smaller or biggest parts. Plus, the end of the gun can be changed by 3 different places of the piece and different position when the G36's has only the possibility to fold. So your trolling tentative is invalid :)

I like this gun. But I love AK-47 even more. AK47, simple in design, easy to use, powerful. You can do anything with it (the car rolled over, burying ground, dipped into the water, mud ...) but it still work perfectly. Cheap, low-tech, do not need much maintenance. Yeah, I love it.

as good as this gun is nothing will ever replace the m16 or the m4 they are cheap light easy to use and very versatile. They said the same thing about the S.C.A.R but the army is the only branch i know that uses them, and only a few special people get them.

@MrAntaresX Unfortunately the HK G36 can't shoot alternatively 5.5mm and 7.62mm bullets, also the parts are not ergonomic and fully dismuntable for changing with smaller or biggest parts. Plus, the end of the gun can be changed by 3 different places of the piece and different position when the G36's has only the possibility to fold. So your trolling tentative is invalid :)

The weapon is possibly good. He says accuracy as for a Navy Seal his shooting sucks(range 50m?). 2nd thing Why Masada is ready for 7,62x39? That doesn't seem to be very clever idea since its not a NATO round but old Soviet round o.O Why not 7.62x51mm? ...I mean what the f...?

I like this gun. But I love AK-47 even more. AK47, simple in design, easy to use, powerful. You can do anything with it (the car rolled over, burying ground, dipped into the water, mud ...) but it still work perfectly. Cheap, low-tech, do not need much maintenance. Yeah, I love it.
