Regarding rotation of the video

Most upper end editing software will allow you to rotate. Think at least $75 (I don't know all of the programs that are out there)

The only non-linear editor I have used to any extent is Final Cut Pro.

Pinnacle studio should also have this

I doubt that windows movie and/or imovie would have a rotating feature.

If you don't have upper end software, and you are feeling audacious, you could create a slide show w/ every frame rotated (not recommended)
