The '85 Bears were better than the Ravens...and they were great for at least three years, not just one. 72 sacks in 1984 was one stat that stood out. Ray Lewis is a bad man....but Dick Butkus might be not only the best LB of all time, but the best defensive player in NFL history.

Unfortunately the history of the NFL does not start in 2000.
Jack Lambert had more interceptions (28), so did Jack Ham with 32. Lewis has 25 and he's played more games than Lambert ever did. They also have more fumble recoveries than Lewis' 13 (21 and 17).
Ham and Lance Mehl both had 7 interceptions in a season.
The most Ray had was 6. Lambert also had 1400 total tackles. Go Hall of Fame, pro football reference site for verification. Or you can just make them up like you did.

One SB win does make the best defense of all-time. that would be the FOUR-TIME Steelers who won year after year in the playoffs and roughed up two Hall of Fame QBs (roger Staubach and Fran Tarkenton) in the Super Bowl...not Kerry Collins..
