I had ear infection before when i was like 5 or 6 year old and once i woke up in the middle of the night and i was screming in pain. I think it was a virus that was causing the infection because i was only taking pain killers to smooth the pain, well that what i think i only took since i can only remember getting up in the middle of the night from an ear infection (Thanks from the pain). After i took some pain killer i went back to sleep after the pain has gone.

I had this when i was about 2 or 3 in both ears. It was so bad at one stage my eardrum burst. I think it caused me to have tinnitus for years afterwards, but it went away a few years ago.

last week I got labyrinthitis, and that's bad too, but I think I will be ok, I've got some pills and they work, so im fine most of the time.

Omg i recently had a Outter and a middle ear infection both at the same time in one Ear. HURT SO BAD! I Couldn't eat. i couldnt move my jaw at all. I was in the worst pain. I COULDN'T SLEEP! and Tylenol extra strength didnt do anything to the pain. I Couldnt eat or move my jaw and the pain was the worst pain ever it was like hell. i was given anti biotics and droppers and EVEN THEN it took 5-6 days to clear up. Nasty double ear infection. so painfull. I Should have been prescribed vicodin for it

"clostomeatoma" It destroyed alot of my cartilage. I had four surgerie's and they still fucked it up. I have no hearing my left ear.

My right ear which has great hearing! Has had a infection for a week so I can't hear at all! :)

I went to a doctor and he gave me nosedrops which atleast makes the hearing possible and it even opens up the tube but then not permanently. The opening and blocking still remains for sometime due to the fluid still being there.

Doctor put me on Cipro ear drops and pills. Very strong medicine. Made me sick and feel dizzy. Cleaned out the ear really good two times with OTC ear cleanser and still putting Cipro drops into the ear. Some pain, but not as bad. Still have some fluid in the middle ear, but not as bad. Not eating milk or milk products to keep blood thin, so less mucus can be made by the body. Goldenseal herb is suppose to be an aid in curing glue ear, if the fluid won't leave on it's own after the ear heals.

okay guys I have a simple solution! No joke. I have this natural home remedies book and I have a massive ear infection really bad. Lots of fluid and pressure inside my ear. I couldnt sleep at all. To relieve pain and this works 100% no joke, You can either cook an onion till it is soft and rap it around your ear or you can use a raw potato and slice it in the middle and rap it around your ear. immediately the pain is relieved. It does sound weird I know. Lol But one night I had one really bad to the point where I couldnt sleep. I wanted to cry lol but around 5 in the morning me and my mother looked in on a natural remedy and A cooked onion or a raw cut patato helps. Just get a patato slice it into a well a slice and I just used a headband to hold the patato in place and it sucks up the infection. The pain I had was gone in a matter of minutes.

I know that Grommets are used to drain the fluid from middle ear infection in children(otitis media). Would it not be easier to insert a tube to open the Auditory tube opening into the nassopharynx? Perhaps it would have a one way valve.

Common healing of an eardrum takes 1-2 months. Not 2 weeks. And intake Augmentin for 1 week. Will help greatly. Then follow up with Amoxicillin for 1 week just in case. or the other way around. Research natural antibiotics for it works better than prescribed antibiotics and helps cure yeast infection. For a start off, purchase garlic oil to cure infection in the canal. Excedrin PM is not addictive for pain reliever and Ibuprofen helps reduce fever. Good luck.
