  • Snowbank and Kek are pretty large lakes so take it easy if it is windy as they can produce some good sized rollers. Be safe and wait out any bad weather at a campsite. Thomas and Fraser lakes are gems too.

  • Our trip was 5 days and 4 nights of camping. We stayed at Smitty's on Snowbank the night before our start which helped get an early start. Out of all the bwca trips I have taken this was the most challenging but the most rewarding as well. It had a variety of big and small lakes plus a section of Hatchet and Jordan that were narrow like a river. We camped on Jordan the first night, Kek the next 2 nights and Ima on the way back. There some very long days of paddling. I would take 6 days or more.

  • Thinking I might have to take this trip in August. Wondering if you think 4 unexperienced canoeists can make it to kekekabic and back in 5 days? We're leaving out of snowbank, and I've yet to make a plan.

  • Thank you. I really liked this area.

  • Great vid
