Listen up. Elizabeth was NOT interested in Jack Sparrow. She only kissed him in Dead Man's Chest to distract him to chain him to the Black Pearl. When the compass pointed towards Jack, that was because that was the direction where the heart of Davy Jones was. Also, trying looking up Pirates of the Caribbean Encyclopedia online. It's pretty insightful of the movies and mini-books.

I really think he was more concerned with getting her the hell out of there since the ship was going underwater. It doesn't matter what Elizabeth THOUGHT at the moment. Jack was getting her someplace safe FIRST then the talk could happen. He had less than 20 seconds to get them out of there. No time for talk. And by Jack's expression when Will returns, Jack was just as surprised that Will returned at Elizabeth. He wasn't SURE Will would return.
I hate it when Jack does this. He didn't tell Elizabeth that Will was fine and that he'd resurface. He had no right to force Elizabeth to leave Will. Elizabeth wanted to stay, he should've accepted her wish, as she is King. Besides, I highly doubt Elizabeth would've died. If she wasn't safe, she wouldn't have wanted to stay and if she had to leave, she would've gotten herself out. She doesn't need someone to save her. This is the only selfish thing Jack has ever done.

@laurenmayfield I know. If Jack was going to make Elizabeth leave the Dutchman, he should've told her that Will was fine and going to resurface instead of saying nothing and torturing her for that moment, as brief as it was. It might've been a long moment for Elizabeth.

@orlandogirl213 Sorry for saying this but you ain't very good at interpreting things then. This is the ultimate unselfish thing Jack ever did. Instead of granting himself the immortality by being the captain of the ship, he makes Will the captain. And he does that, because their love is more important in the end than his immortality. Afterwards he takes her away from the ship, because yes. The ship is pretty screwed. (As far as he knows anyway). Really can't see how people can misinterpet this.
