I don't live to far from Podington, and even closer to that of RAF Tempsford and Bassingbourne. Your videos really interest me. You say it's from The Doc Furniss War. Where would I be able to get this from. As I have alot of admire and proudness of our vets from then. My Gt Gt Uncle was a Hawker Hurricane Pilot, and my grandad was Chief Stoker on HMS Medway. So have alot to thank these lads for keeping England and the US free from madmen. Many thanks for these vids.
f you like the B17 i have a story for u in 1943 UK east harling . An american airman took to war with him a coin SEAL it was his fathers .The coin was very soon to become the good luck Icon for the base and then all of the other bases.Unknown to them they were carrying the seal of god on their missions.The coin was one of four sewn into Jesus cloke it had been past hand to hand to this momentin time Hitler had to go .See The real christos coin u tube to see the mission
Great short video of an aircraft that helped bring freedom to Europe. God bless all who served in WWII ( "The Big One" as my dad and many of his fellow servicemen called it), especially those who didn't return. Our WWII and Korean War Vets are fewer in number each year. If you see one, thank him or her for their service.
Hi thank you very much for your very interesting comment its nice that he shared his war time stories with you oftent these old fly boys dont like talking about the war years.
My Grandpa piloted 33 missions over Germany and occupied France from Jan-May of 1945. He was with the 384th Bomb Group, 545 Squadron. Short landed twice in Belgium after taking flak but never lost a crew member. His first mission as a true pilot was fire-bombing Dresden, Germany. Welcome to the war I guess.
Brave guys never to be forgotten. I'd be scared. Daylight bombing was so dangerous. Wonderful 'plane that helped us out in the UK at the worst of times. So much to thank those flyers for....
Thank you very much for your comment,Have you watched other videos of mine (B17 1944 BROKE ITS BACK} {B17 1944 BEING TOWED}{B17 1944 BELLY LANDING AT PODINGTON BASE BEDFODSHIRE UK}

Why are the guns not moving?
Surely the gunners would scan the sky for bandits.
