This game is never coming out. All online FF's should be labled FF online 1 & 2 for 11 and 14. They should give #'s to the ones that do not require a monthly pennance. I played 11 and it stole a year of my life away and all I can really remember doing was fishing and leveling up.

Second, i still think FFXIV is a good game, they moved to far away from FFXI but i still enjoy playing it (although it's a pain in the ass to level up or get money) I really hope the new team they have will fix the flaws in this game and bring it back to the good old FFXI days, because FFXI was WAAAAAAAY better then wow, by far in every aspect of gaming.

I kinda agree with you Envisionzbk. However, my problem is I havent beaten a final fantasy since 9. I just want 1 where the battle system/character customization is new and innovative enough to pull me through an amazing storyline like squaresoft did time and time again. Dont get me wrong ff113 was a really good attempt, but by the time i hit disc 3 I was so bored of the battles I watched my brother beat it. @kurandox9 Yeah lol I am the same as you, I can never finish a Final Fantasy game, I haven't finished one. I have only finished all of the Kingdom Hearts games because they are different and pull me deeper into the story with an innovative fighting system and a really good story.
@P0tatoPotato Im glad you brought up the kingdom hearts, because Id like to comment on the way enix alters the magic system and adds new amazing feautures to gameplay in each game. examples being panels in 358/2, cards in chain of memories, drive form and reaction commands in kh2, and so on. And I heard there system in birth by sleep is just as innovative and am eagerly waiting that games English release on sep 7. I'd also like to point out how ingenious the storyline is in-- cont. in next post

Also they made the story with simplistic moral values to draw in child players even more, but at the same time made very complicated pieces of the story that people of lower analytical skills might of missed. For example the fact that secret diary 3 in kh2 says that Ansem the wise wasnt the first ansem :)

oh come on you guys, this looks pretty good. my only beef with it is the online but its cheap, and would totally be worth it. but i agree, hopefully after this one the online FFs will stop, but for some reason i doubt that will happen. i can almost guarantee FF 16 or 17 will be online but by that time....shouldnt be a problem anyway.

FF 13 is the best FF game for me,i haven't played the rest but i saw vids of them,this game is an MMO(that's the main reason that i don't like it and won't buy it),FF 13 versus on the other side is catchy,but i'm not gonna to waste 300 euros to buy a ps3 just to play one game.Still i think that i won't find again a game like FF 13(except if they create a sequel,which is impossible),cause i liked the characters most,the story was good also so the game gets 9.9 out 10 for me.
You've basically played the worst game first... Because you've played FF13 before all the other's, you'll now think that's the best one ever and nothing else can compete... I've spent over 4500 hours on ff7 and I'm still not bored yet 55 hours on FF13 and I'm left thinking "this was a waste of 45 pounds"... It's a sad but true story, one which only Final Fantasy fans will understand

Well it depends on how you judge if a game is worse than another. FF7 has sold more copies than FF13. FF7 has more playtime, FF7 has a more popular soundtrack, all of which say that FF7 is better and for this to be the case, people have had to use their OPINION to "vote" on the matter. If we were to judge if one game is better an another, this is the logical way to do it, and I do judge games

Yeah, I see where you're coming from, FF7 probably is the 'best' FF but to be honest I think it's overated.
By sold more copies I mean over specific time periods for instance in its first week of being released. And yes FF7 was the first 3D Final Fantasy however FF13 was the first PS3 Final Fantasy :) See because I'm an FF7 fanboy, I use all my ammunition to the fullest which makes people's opinion's seem insignificant, which is of course not the case :)

and you would both be using the same account so if you both tried to play at the same time on different consoles on both the characters, whoever was signed on first would be kicked off.
if you want to play together you would need 2 separate accounts both paying $12.99/month
the Main reason extra chars cost 3 bucks a pop is because you dont have to make a new character to play a differant job. Each character can play as Everything and change between them and comes with extra storage so you dont have to make another char just to store things. So there isnt really a reason to make new characters to take part in a differant path or when an expac comes out with a new job u can just learn it ,not roll a whole new job. Gives your chars more life.
The newer Final fantasy's SUCK! God. The good ones were the originals. Like FFVII and FFX(and FFX-2) were such good hits. So where VIII, and IX. Man. These new ones suck. The battles arent even FF style anymore. I swear. I just beat FFX and FFVII. Those are good games.

yes the battle system has changed (even though it's been constantly changing since 1) but if they released the same game over and over i (and plenty of other people) would have quit playing these games long ago.
@xGotGutsx Possibly, there are rumors Microsoft will accept SE putting FFXIV on 360, it was also confirmed, but these are rumors so they're hard to beleive, The hold up is down to microsoft, if they don't let it onto 360, FF fans will probably either play this on PC, or buy a PS3 leaving xbox out.

Any of you have some info regarding the races. I wonder if a race will be better with a weapon then others. I hope choosing a race have it's very higu degree in importance. In FF11, i found the defference between races was not great enough. Any stats could be reached with gear... I really wish FF14 will offer races to have it's importance in role play.
The noobs that say mmo version is bad must never have played 11 to any extent. Yes, i like the normal console single player games myself, but the mmo i think had more to offer than ANY of the console games. Frankly, id be fine without you playing it anyway. FF 13 is the best FF game for me,i haven't played the rest but i saw vids of them,this game is an MMO(that's the main reason that i don't like it and won't buy it),FF 13 versus on the other side is catchy,but i'm not gonna to waste 300 euros to buy a ps3 just to play one game.Still i think that i won't find again a game like FF 13(except if they create a sequel,which is impossible),cause i liked the characters most,the story was good also so the game gets 9.9 out 10 for me.

You've basically played the worst game first... Because you've played FF13 before all the other's, you'll now think that's the best one ever and nothing else can compete... I've spent over 4500 hours on ff7 and I'm still not bored yet 55 hours on FF13 and I'm left thinking "this was a waste of 45 pounds"... It's a sad but true story, one which only Final Fantasy fans will understand

@werboweckjybahamut I'm sorry my friend,but I don't think i am a fan of Final Fantasy Series.Unfortunetaly i saw many vids on youtube about other FF games and i didn't like them.I'm a fan of Final Fantasy 13,of it's characters,of it's story,of it's villains,of it's enviroments.FF 13 Versus seems good but it doesn't attract me that much to buy a PS3 just to play a game.As I said in my previous comment,I would only buy an FF13 sequel.And i played FF13 and I haven't got bored of it. @werboweckjybahamut I am a Final Fantasy fan and I've played 7,8,9,10,12 and 13. FF7 and FF10 were my favourites, but when I completed FF13, that became my favourite.13 is the worst FF in YOUR opinion. It's the best in myyyyy opinion.
Therefore, it's not really right that you should tell someone that it is a true story that 13 is a waste of money.
13 isn't the worst FF officially. NONE of them are becauseee of OPINION.
If I said I hated 7, it wouldn't automatically become the worst FF.

Well it depends on how you judge if a game is worse than another. FF7 has sold more copies than FF13. FF7 has more playtime, FF7 has a more popular soundtrack, all of which say that FF7 is better and for this to be the case, people have had to use their OPINION to "vote" on the matter. If we were to judge if one game is better an another, this is the logical way to do it, and I do judge games

Yeah, I see where you're coming from, FF7 probably is the 'best' FF but to be honest I think it's overated.

By sold more copies I mean over specific time periods for instance in its first week of being released. And yes FF7 was the first 3D Final Fantasy however FF13 was the first PS3 Final Fantasy :) See because I'm an FF7 fanboy, I use all my ammunition to the fullest which makes people's opinion's seem insignificant, which is of course not the case :)
Put simply, my opinion is backed by more people than yours, but that's not meant to change your, or anyone elses mind :)

@4realDNBsoldier do you FFXII haters even play it? the graphics were not that good, but for a PS2 game, they were, it had a good storyline, a massive set of missions and characters, a great (but sometimes confusing) battle system, and many other things. so before u talk sh*t, try the game. u might like it. (but u were right about the other ones too....)

@WallyMammoth you can either share character or pay an extra $3/month.
and you would both be using the same account so if you both tried to play at the same time on different consoles on both the characters, whoever was signed on first would be kicked off.
if you want to play together you would need 2 separate accounts both paying $12.99/month

the Main reason extra chars cost 3 bucks a pop is because you dont have to make a new character to play a differant job. Each character can play as Everything and change between them and comes with extra storage so you dont have to make another char just to store things. So there isnt really a reason to make new characters to take part in a differant path or when an expac comes out with a new job u can just learn it ,not roll a whole new job. Gives your chars more life.

The newer Final fantasy's SUCK! God. The good ones were the originals. Like FFVII and FFX(and FFX-2) were such good hits. So where VIII, and IX. Man. These new ones suck. The battles arent even FF style anymore. I swear. I just beat FFX and FFVII. Those are good games.

@SalSayWut have you played the originals? i wouldn't call 7 and 10 the originals, FF1 is over 10 years older than 7 and they're both completely different games (the only thing they have in common is battles even though they still don't have quite a few differences)
yes the battle system has changed (even though it's been constantly changing since 1) but if they released the same game over and over i (and plenty of other people) would have quit playing these games long ago.

@xGotGutsx Possibly, there are rumors Microsoft will accept SE putting FFXIV on 360, it was also confirmed, but these are rumors so they're hard to beleive, The hold up is down to microsoft, if they don't let it onto 360, FF fans will probably either play this on PC, or buy a PS3 leaving xbox out.

Any of you have some info regarding the races. I wonder if a race will be better with a weapon then others. I hope choosing a race have it's very higu degree in importance. In FF11, i found the defference between races was not great enough. Any stats could be reached with gear... I really wish FF14 will offer races to have it's importance in role play.

The noobs that say mmo version is bad must never have played 11 to any extent. Yes, i like the normal console single player games myself, but the mmo i think had more to offer than ANY of the console games. Frankly, id be fine without you playing it anyway. And they can use any music they dang well want! @ jerk618. I'm hoping this game was as fun as 11 was, but more fun D; Gonna have to build a new pc now
