  • The place is supposed to be closed from december untill march, could you hike up the appalachian trail to get up there, to get around or bypass the gates.

  • @fireballfury1 Hi there! When we did this...we actually cut off the trail because we were trying to make up time. It was late in the day and we needed to get to our shelter before dark. Well....that didn't happen. This way ended up being much harder and took us way longer. We ended up getting to our shelter at almost midnight. Because of the snow it took us 10 hours to hike 10 miles.
