I love that "style is power" thing. It's so true b/c so many people are used to being so amazed at power moves when their really the same thing every time and style gets kinda looked over...
when I FIRST started breaking, I did my footwork on my palms, but about a year into breaking,(and became a bboy lol) I started focusing a lot on foundation footwork steps and it gives you extra height (you might not think it's much, but it helps), allows you to push your body off the ground a lot quicker than if you were to use your entire palm
Doing footwork on your inner knuckles allows you to move faster and it makes you look cleaner, I've been doing footwork on flat hands since I started (7 months) but i'm switching to inner knuckles too ;) it will hurt in the beginning but no pain no gain xD
once i started bboying i did my footwork on my inner knuckles now after 1 year of bboying i dont feel anything. the pain will wear away after about 2 or 3 months once you get used to it.
Yeah, when I first switched, I used to get ridiculous amount/layers of bruises and callus but it just keeps building on top of it..so you get used to it, but it does help sometimes if you wear wrist band around your knuckles so it doesn't bruise as easily..but if you planning on becoming a real bboy, lol it isn't much of pain or injury
hehe well, i'm planning to keep on bboying but i'm not making alot of progression in the past 7 months :( but that's most likely my own fault since I only bboy like 2 hours a week without training full, just with a little bit of battling and stuff.. how many hours do you train per week?

You can tell how much you've changed from early 2008 footage. Much faster and fluid.

ok, so just to get this straight, everyone here is just talking about keeping your palms off the ground when bboying?
cool stuff btw. kinda cool to see progression as a popper then shifting to bboying.
