Rest forever here in our hearts.

The last and final moment is yours.

Your agony has been our triumph.

  • Well stated. Thank you! - e

  • Great job! I was looking for some new videos to put in my favorites. I came accross some real junk. Then I saw this one. This video expresses how I feel!

  • Yes, indeed! Jan. 20th has proven to be the most celebrated U.S. Presidential Inauguration in our history. Why? Because the movement of "We the People" has begun. Thanks for your comment. - e

  • perfect

  • Thanks, Willie! It's reassuring to know I've communicated the spirit of what I feel when thinking about Ms. Dunham's contribution leading to her grandson's place in our highest office, becoming a world leader. Putting this video into a context of our shared dreams has touched many, and reminds me of our common humanity. A true blessing indeed. - e

  • Congratulations, Ellison. Your tribute to Obama's grand mother is moving, emotionallly stirring. Thank you for creating and sharing it.

Willie Thompson,( frien dof Floyd Johnson)

  • Ellison, Hearing the news of her passing the day before the election and knowing what that must have meant to him, was quite extraordinary. It's ultimately the Grandmothers who carry us so far on our roads in life and this is a fitting memorial to a beautiful woman. Thank you for this moving tribute.

  • By putting Ms. Dunhams influence within a larger social and historical context I tried to show how much the loving stewardship of our young is so vital, in an age when popular culture seems to be working against parenting. Thank you for your kind words. - e

  • Beautiful, powerful, hopeful, a beautiful tribute to Madelyn Dunham. Be prepared to watch this in tears!

  • Ah yes, hopefulness! I too have a great sense of new opportunities ahead, driven by means of strong, compassionate public engagement. Ms. Dunham has played an instrumental role in the choices we have before us as a society. I hope the Obama family will see this gesture of appreciation in the video, and how it is shared by so many others. Thank you for pointing out the hopefulness. - e

  • Ellison, this had me in tears. Thank you for creating this beautiful tribute. Peggy

  • Thanks, Peggy. This was an emotional piece for me to do and it's heartening to know I've been able to touch others in this way. Sista Monica Parker's music provided such an inspiring foundation from which to build this piece. - e
