@fischsnopro Actually that's kinda for me, but I found an 84 Silverado around where I live for about 2500. She's got new U-joints and shocks. New starter, alternator, and radiator. New cloth bench seat and aftermarket sound system with CD player. It's a regular cab short box, dual tanks, 4 spd manual, 4x4, Big ol' Chevy 350, and dual piped. She's got a lot of body rust though, lol.

I love the old Chevy trucks I wish Chevy would make the trucks like they use too with out all the electronics, I also liked the granny low that those had you could really pull, my cuz pulled a ford 350 that had a trailer with a bobcat on it out of a ditch going up hill. one hell of a good truck. the rust got to it and had to sell it.

the old trucks like that really only have a three speed with a low gear that is lower than 1st.. thats what we call a granny gear around here

yea! they used to put it in older trucks because most were used as farm trucks to haul livestock and farm equip. i think it is pretty much like having your turck now days in Lo but it is in two in wheel drive. then when you lock it in 4-lo and put it in granny gear it is super low gears, lots of torque but you wont be getting anywhere fast

and the reason i hate on manuals is because a lot of the time when you trying to bog threw some thick shit and you want to shift up a gear, but by the time you get that clutch shoved in and put it in the next gear you have already lost most of your momentom so there for you get bogged down and have go back to the gear you were just in, but a automatic you just put it to floor and hold on to your ass
