omg please help!! my hair was originaly black n i got like the ombre hair style with the ends blonde but it came out orange. idk what to do because its only the ends.
@Heartsoxox you have a couple options with this...do you want the ends really blonde or just lighter in general? if you want them blonde, you'll likely have to lift the color more (a second bleaching) and also get a toner to minimize the orange tones (you can buy both @ a beauty supply store - but i recommend a salon!). if you want a lighter brown color, try getting a med blonde/light brown with an Ash (A) undertone because it will neutralize the orange & fade more naturally :)
@heykittty Thanks!! i think i might just die it all back black though to hide the damage because it is completely destroyed. My hair is super dry and feels hard and horrible now :(
...your stylist probably did not know what she was doing if she kept bleaching after the orangish yellow stage. she should have then applied a toner to get rid of the orange and yellow. then make a dye that would result in the color you wanted.
I'm naturally light brown I went red , chocolate , brown and darkbrown almost black which is not the most flatttering colour on me because i have pale skin witha red flush. i lightened mine by using baking soda combined with shampoo it took a while but it turned choclate brown then I got full head blonde highlights. Trust me highlighting is a less damaging way of going lighter my hair is now golden brown and beautiful. And my number 1 rule condition!
Oh geez, the same thing happened to me and I used the exact same products to reconstruct my hair. They are definitely helpful. What did it for me, though, as almond oil. Cheap and effective. :)
@vanessaaaabites the 3 minute miracle will help to make your hair smoother, but if you have a lot of breakage you want to get something that is going to strengthen it as well. if your breakage is really bad and noticeable, i would recommend cutting it because it will look healthier but if you don't want to part with the length get a finishing cream that will minimize the appearance of the broken hairs... john frieda;s "secret weapon" is really good and cheap as well!
wow you need to go back to dark hair also i did the same thing i went blonde and all the bleach made my hair horrible...on top of that i stratin it all the time but i went back dark and my hair sill is breaking off relly bad like i have tresme shampoo and conditioner it kinda works but do you have anymore advice because my hair is relly bad with the split ends and its so dry??
@beadlesbieberlover1 if you have really bad split ends there's not really anyway to completely fix them other than cutting the length off... there are products you can use to conceal them a little, like the John Frieda secret weapon. I know Nexxus just came out with shampoo+cond that claims to mend split ends back together but I haven't tried it yet. I tried tresemee but it didn't do much for me, I'm currently using Infusium 23 and I love it!
If your hair is badly damaged, sometimes the worst thing you could do is dye it dark. I did that, and it made my hair like a rubber band. Plus it didn't take to the color, and came out this muddy green color. It was gross. So I had no choice but to cut it. I was devastated. If you are going to dye it dark, use a semi permanent dark color. They sell them online and in beauty stores and do no more damage to your hair, along with conditioning it (if it's good).
@adc2223 i'm sorry to hear that yours came out muddy :( i did dye mine dark over this color, and used revlon color silk in dark brown. mine wound up coming out pretty nice. i had to cut mine too! i was so sad!
i am going through the same thing you did where i had black hair and straight bleached it, i want to nurse my hair back to health asap so should i just dye my hair back to black and then nurse it from there?
@fiercebxtch in my opinion when u dye ur hair a darker shade it camouflages the breakage better&generally looks more healthy than it does when bleached. if u like the blonde color it is u could keep it while working on getting it healthier but maintaining the color would cause.more damage if ur hair isnt light naturally. id say it would prob be easiest&work fastest if u dye ur hair ur natural color, use lots of moisturing&protecting products, &try to give it a break from styling if possible :)
@heykittty if you dye it back you will have to keep dying it quite alot as the bleech is really powerfull and keep comingback through for a lil while, my friend did this and tried to go dark again and it kept fading ginger meanin she had to keep dying it like 1's a week
hunnie, ill b honest, you cannot run from damaged hair, you'll never b happy with the final look of ur styling if it's damaged..... i had to cut my hair :( but now...... my hair looks the way i want. Never been happier.
I tried the john frieda leave in and the secret weapon. They work great. Thanks for the vid. One use and already looks so much better.I also have bleached damaged hair. I also find a little argan oil is amazing. Thanks
this is such a great video! most times when people talk about any level of damage, they say just to "cut it all off" but with the right products and hair that's not that destroyed, you can really work with it. so thanks for giving actual good advice :)
@CuteBrainiacGirl thank you! yea cutting my hair off was definitely not an option for me i already didnt like it being this short, it was all about making it more manageable for me haha
@FierceIndian07 yes like when you brush it or pull on it lightly and it breaks off. or if you are noticing uneven lengths and the end of your hair...but that can be harder to notice if you have shorter hair
Just had 2get 4inches off my hair after dying my hair as it was snapping off and falliing out but i was dying my hair dark brown so it doesnt matter what colour your dying it, if u do it 2often or put heat on it a lot then its still gonna have same effect, have read about moroccan oil which strengthens hair again and increases the growth by 45% also any pure virgin coconut oil is meant 2do same x
i just recently dyed my hair bleach blonde by myself, it'z naturally dark brown and i didn't dye it for like almost a year and then i though i'd be cute and dye it again.
i use to dye it like every 2 weeks, so my hair is basically breaking off and feels and
looks like straw. i'mma try some of these products and i hope it works.
thanks for the help. i'm gonna dye it brown again and keep it that way this time.(:
A good hairdresser would not do that process at once. usually they do 3 times or 4 times for black hair. I f a hairdresser does that in one trip, then run.
@allyluvsk8erboys believe me thats how i felt too! i promise you its not as bad as it looks right now... there are definitely products that will fix it no matter what shape it is in
