To me, sounds like a combination of The National "High Violet" LP, and This Mortal Coil "Filigree & Shadow' LP, when Dominic Appleton sings, like on "The Jeweler", "Tarantula" and "Strength of Strings"; 3 of the 4 greatest songs from that album, so comparisons are definitely NOT a bad thing. I will say I prefer the ambient instrumental "Copia" album myself but probly just need to hear this more before it takes me over.
You can't give someone a bad mark if they don't like the vocals on this song. I'm not keen either but the instrumental is up there with most other works from Eluvium. I suppose it's just strange to hear him sing. I'm still going to buy the album even if I am not taken by the singing. I love Eluvium and his music is extraordinary.

I think the vocals add more to this track than to weird creatures. cease to know and nightmare 5 are my favorites on the album though

You should listen to Weird Creatures, there the vocals really add to the song. /watch?v=i9s5vJ5qSPQ

I concur with the Eno comments, first thing I thought about as soon as the vocals kicked in. I love it!

this is exactly where i assumed he was going with his work. very eno, but still original.

I agree, it reminds me of Brian Eno's "By This River"
But this is greater and I hope the rest of the album will be at least like this.
Can't wait...

I agree to your opinion.
This looks like it very much.
Both are wonderful music.

A little more accessible than his other work, but definitely a good step in the right direction.

hate. Hate. HATE it! Vocals? HIS vocals? Ugh. The first Eluvium anything that I won't be buying...

Easily one of the greatest songs I've ever heard. Do you hear those lyrics? Mindblowing.
