  • How much amps ?

  • very cool teacher. today we had a science test... for junior high.... and not a lot of people understood it, so he just said," ya know what, just do open book, it doesnt matter." haha his sciene labs are sooo cool! but in his science room it's kinda creepy! there are cameras everywhere! he can talk the whole time, one time he talked about bubble gum the whole time. never even read a page in the book that class. (he can get off subject easily!) but i would never want a different science teacher!

  • @Secrets2DogTraining haha thats funny! one time it was so freaky he like came up to me and my friend and was all like "SPEEEERRRRMMMMM" hes my science teacher too... and homeroom teacher! do you go to newlin?

  • he was my teacher in 8th grade :D he can talk forever haha

  • I saw this guy live back in the 70's! We lived in Kaiserlautern, Germany (Ramstein Air Force Base). Absolutely amazing, and influential! Definitely left an impression on me regarding science and the Bible.

  • He was my science teacher too ;P He was the best science teacher I've ever had. I know who is video taking it, I think.

  • I had Mr. Ortner for junior high science..he's gotta be one of the coolest dudes ever.

If memory serves he changed the frequency of the electricity to a setting that flowed through his body and the stick with the metal handle was the first thing that was able to conduct it, which it then went to the wood because it had nowhere else to go.

  • The electricity in him is trying to discharge. At first the shortest circuit is the yardstick. So when the electricity tries to flow through it, it burns up, cutting off the circuit.

The small amount of distance his hand travels is enough to lower the resistance from him to the ceiling. Then just like a capacitor & lightning, electricity flows through the air in a short circuit.

From what I know, anyone can do this. But its like backflips and your neck

Just figure it out before you die.

  • Basic Idea.

    Electric current kills, Yes. But

Current is Voltage divided by Resistance.

Big voltage & Bigger Resistance = small current = nonlethal

Its like how you can have lots of gravitational potential energy by standing on the edge of a cliff but never dying till the Resistance (the floor) goes away.

This is how he does not die.

  • man i had him as a teacher he was pretty cool...

  • I saw him do this back in the late '70s... very cool.

  • I know those two girls that show at the end. I go to school with them. YEAAAH Dr. Ortner!

  • He's my science teacher, and yes he's really cool!

  • niceee ! whittier christian was beassttly ! i went there :D

  • I just saw this on Tv

Is this really your Science Teacher?

    Is he really legit?

  • @WhyNotZach yeahh hes really our science teacher!

  • hahaha stupid asians man.. why were we laughing?!!?!? it was a serious matter at like 35 seconds it sounds like jordan. hahahha but anyways...thats me next to you haha AND THATS OUR SCIENCE TEACHER! YEAHHHHH! :) BEST SCIENCE TEACHER EVER! hahaha WOO DR. ORTNER!!
