you just tear the semitendinosus muscle ? well im getting througth that, plzz tell me how did you recover from that, its been a month and im still with the muscle teear
@JMRG2992 sorry just saw your post- i "partially tore" 2 muscles I believe, forget what the doc said....biggest things that helped me were deep tissue massage (from a proper massage therapist) and keeping the the hammy mildly active....obviously no sprinting or anything, but swimming and biking are fantastic ways to rehab it without stressing it. Getting it STRONG again is the key. I kind of half assed my physical therapy/rehab and consequently I never really the SNAP back in my kicks.
@bennyhondo Hi, well its been about two months now, and muscle recovry is kinda good, i made some stretching which hurts at beggning but now my range motion has increased, Now im gonna have a therapist who's gonna tell me what i should do from now xD, anyway thanks for aswering man its been useful to get an idea of what i should do.
Did you actually tear it, or was it a second degree pull, like almost torn. During my last football season I pulled my hamstring, tryed to pull hero and keep playing, but almost tore it at practice the next week, and was hardly able to walk, lol. I can still only curl about 10 pounds with it
yeah my problem was that i was warmed up at first then i sat around for too long before my match and didn't warm up again sufficiently....well i only got the injury like 2 weeks ago so it is far from healed...but initially the entire back of my thigh was purple from the muscles being torn and bleeding...that bruising is almost gone now, and im barely limping when i walk slow....but there are certain movements that i cant even think about making....
theres nothing u can really do to make it heal faster, jus wrap it, elevate it, use heat on it (im passed the point of ice, its not swelling anymore) dont be stupid and over exert ur leg..mine wasnt bad enough to warrant surgery but it is torn so im NOT supposed to stay off it completely...if i were to lie around and not use my leg for a couple months it would heal up soo tight and not right
thanks man i appreciate it, just a minor tear, i'll be back full force in a few months...and yeah that was shaping up to be a really good match, sorry i blew it haha! nice work on winning the division tho (u did right?) anyway, hope to see u next year and good luck till then...
Your left leg was locked out at full extension but your head and shoulders were behind the ball of your left foot. Your momentum carried you through the point of no return with you toes pointed in the wrong direction. It wasn't the kick that was bad, it was the lack of contact when you extended the kicking leg.
Your opponent used a step back drill to get you off balance. I know, I was in the room when we worked on it. Tough luck. Now watch the video carefully and don't do it again.
yep, the freeze frame with my leg locked out makes it look like i am nailing him with a kick, when in actuality i made just about NO contact with him...well played, sir
Ahhh man, that was tough to watch! What did your Doctor tell you? What kind of medication did they put you on? I recently injured my left hamstring, playing Basketball. Whenever I try bending over, to pick something up, I feel pain from the back of my left knee up to my butt. Does this happen to you, as well? Hope you heal fast. Best of luck to you, mate!
He said i didn't need surgery and itd be like maybe 6 months till im back full force, but its getting better fast, i dont see it taking that long...he didnt give me any meds, jus ibuprofin..the pain is only there when i try to do this i shouldnt be doing, like what u were saying..bending over with my legs locked is out of the question...
also if i were to lay on my back and try to pull my knees to my chest that would make me pass out from pain lol...anyway yeah man hope u get better soon, don't over exert urself, and when u think ur leg is all better, give it more time, cuz its not
Same here: I can't extend my left leg, at a 90-degree angle, while laying flat on my back. I'm not used to being injured like this. I've never had a hamstring strain before! It sucks.
hope you ok.. get well soon

..this could have completely been avoided by simply playing a fighting game on PS3 or Xbox....

@sirflex10 playing too many video games causes your muscles to be short + weak and leads to strains very easily. i have learned this the hard way

Yeah, I received some Ibuprofen (600mg) too. I've also been rubbing/massaging my hamstring with analgesic gel; its helping me heal a little faster.
