I'm disappoined with Ford's decisions; NOT with the '11 Edge, but for the fact that the Edge's updated engines (285 hp 3.5 and 305 hp 3.7) haven't been put in the 2011 Taurus, Fusion, and Flex; the Mustang 3.7 is the only exception. But those heavy ass vehicles need that extra 22 hp at the minimum. Please Ford, do it.

@BklynJayL I don't think he is biased, and it's a testament to how Ford has been listening to it's US customers lately, and what they said was that the Edge was OK, but suffered from sub par suspension and driving aesthetics.

@wolfenbreed You should hear the interviews that, he gives on most American vehicles(not just Ford). He almost always dogs American vehicles and, always praised foreign vehicles(even when, they're not so good looking). That's why, I called him biased.

I hope the updated Ti-VCT 3.5 Duratec that now makes 285 hp makes its way into the Fusion Sport and Taurus and Flex models. Only a 22 hp increase, but every little bit is nice.

ya 22 hp increace from the 3.5 in my flex is just about what it needs the 3.7 would be cool and the ecoboost 3.5 is crazy but i think the 3.5 tivct is the most rerasonable choice if the flex gets it

I gotta hand it to ford, I never liked them or respected them, but I do now. They have surpassed goverment motor's and that other american company, and are now offering really good reliable cars. Would I buy one over a honda/acura, toyota lexus? No, maybe some day though.

The Edge Sport has upgraded suspension and the brakes are upgraded across the entire platform. MKX has two engines and the Edge has three. They share the same platform and they share ONE engine, but for the most part they are entirely different vehicles.
