Um, the chargers and packs have changed since this video was produced.
but what stays the same is the approximate cost per charge.
you may have towork backwards for your wattage requirements.
but... at 14cents a kw/h it will cost 80cents to charge my pack.
( my new pack is a 10kw/h LiFeP04 and will take me 50 miles at low speed)

How many watts of solar panels would you need to power that charger or would there be way to direct solar charging into the battery packs?

Cost? Range? Lifespan? I would expect with conventional lead-acids, this must be a rather affordable. Best of luck with your venture.
