Ah, lets remember just how many musicians are out there... I care nothing about grammys, Bill Frisell has such a wide ranging career, everything he does has this exquisite quality.
@skullhand1 Grammy doesn't really mean a whole lot in THIS case. It means the album was heralded by the people that VOTE (i.e. NOT the general public). Lots of Grammys are awarded for works that aren't particularly well-known by people who aren't necessarily connoisseurs. I can definitely say that I never heard any song from this album either of the "smooth jazz" stations in this area back then. If it weren't WERS 88.9 FM on-line, I would have never heard it.
This cd reminds me of early Haevey Mandel, the Snake>
