As she used to say back then, she HAD a voice so there was no need for showing skin, having a scandalous lifestyle, etc., because people liked her because of her enormous voice. She lost her voice so... she put in the big boobs, the arrogant attitude, the fake makeup, high heels, the whole whore image that can sell when you have nothing else to offer. if she still had a voice we'd have the sweet 40y.o., MC around... She was forced to maintain a fake sweet clean image by Tommy Mottola, and after years of abuse by him (which she has to keep within herself), she finally left him and with that, all the hurt and tension she kept inside exploded. Tommy made her famous but at the same time, destroyed her. That's why her music are always about love, pain and hurt.
