alright around 4 min. why did he hang there for like an hour and reach for chalk like 12 freaking times

gets rid of some lactic build up in the forearms so he can climb through the pump.

i know that but its no use to do that for an hour

if you climb something this hard you would understand. i had to do that on a 12a i lead, got to a nice juggy hold and it was a good rest for the crux.
