@Recon9143 I still love my 40D. So much that it can do that I haven't even begun to use yet. It will be a long time before I get rid of it. Unless I start booking more weddings for more money then maybe a 5D mark 2.

Today I received the Canon 28-135 IS lens. I noticed that the lens is making sound when the IS is on. It feels like something is spinning inside. I searched some forums on the internet. Some people are saying that this is actually a problem and they got their lens exchanged. I am bit afraid for this. Do you have similar experience? I am using it on 450D. Your video is nice.

I am happy for you that you got your new lens. Unfortunately I have not had that those problems with my lens. Hopefully you can warranty that lens.

I am not really sure I haven't looked into the 7D at all. I am very happy with my 40d and haven't even had the want for a new camera just new glass.

The 50D is newer and some would say newer is better. But I have to say that these cameras are so nice that we should just focus more on our photography and less on the gear. I love my 40D and I have so much still to learn both in my photography and my camera.

from reviews i see that 50d has more noise after iso400 but i think if you downgrade the MP settings same to the 40d i think you should get better pictures than the 40d but from the samples i;ve seen the noise it's ok. i can't realy say that 50d has more noise in real.

It might be cheaper then. You will just have to keep researching and make sure. The 50D is a excellent camera and should enjoy it.

The 60D is slated to premiere in September. Than the 50D will slide into a low price range to replace the 40D and the 60D will replace the 50D. So, I guess the best answer is wait till the second half of the year.

If you have the cash the Canon 24-70 f/2.8L is great for weddings! But it is expensive. I like the lens that came with my camera it has really been a good not as expensive good"walk around lens". What has really helped me is to rent lenses and see what it is like to use good "L series" glass. So I have been saving to get a Sigma 70-200 f2.8 because it is pretty darn close to its Canon equivalent. I don't know if I was much help but I do like the lens that came with my camera.

nIKON makes great cameras. but they are expensive and they copy other companies. The sensor on there D3X is almost identical to the sony A900. But again got nothin against them

The only problem I had is. I rented a 70-200 f2.8 and it error on me two times while shooting. But I think that has more to do with that lens. Cuz it hasn't happened before or after that. But I love my 40D!

I love my camera. I just got back from Sedona where the camera performed beautifully. The 50D sounds nice but had that new Nikon 90D been on the market at the time I might have went Nikon. It has HD video but with no sound. Video in a SLR it's about time.

Your not being rude thanks for the question. To tell you the truth the one I picked was on sale with costco. I am currently trying to get a nice telephoto to be a nice addition to the lens it came with. then a wide angle and flash, but that will take some time. the 28-135 has been a great lens.

i can definitely help with the whole flash and telephoto thing for a start the Canon 430EX is amazing and then if you have a reasonable budget you can get the Canon 70-200 f4L or better still the Sigma 70-200 F2.8 it cost me 699 british pounds but will probably be much cheaper in the USA

but one more question lol

even though you bought the 28-135, what lens would you get with a mid range budget?

If you take the same deal from Costco then yes it came with a 4 gig cf card. If you get it from someone else then you will need to check that deal.
