I used to be neutral on this flotilla raid, but now I'm kind of leaning towards being against the raid. I mean, wasn't the Mavi Marmara (whatever the hell it's called) way out in int'l waters, so Israel had no reason to raid? Israel has one of the best navies in the world, right? Couldn't they have easily stopped this ship if it got anywhere near Israeli waters? I also heard last night on Greta's show that there were reports that no actual weapons were found. take that for what it's worth.
Also, I just recently heard that there's at least one 1988 treaty that Israel is a signatory to that says this kind of thing isn't permitted?
But maybe I'm just ignorant here. It just seems very unnecessary and kind of showing Israel's disregard for int'l law and overly hawkish behavior that's emblematic of their military for the last 30-40 years.
