this game is set place like RIGHT BEFORE halo one starts. just right before the first cutscene of halo 1. ok!?!?!? oh and BTW there were two spartans that survived Reach and were on the Pillar Of Autumn. the other one was seriously injured.

if you were to read the books then yes MrLiamCooley @Un4sakenSoulja is correct and Master Cheif was actually part of the mark VI era of Spartan's armor.

This video is after Master Chief. He was part of either Spartan 1 or Spartan 2 project before Reach was overcome by the Covenant.

What this game really is, is just a prologue to Halo 1 - Halo 3 Reach was the planet where all the Spartans went to war along side the humans fighting off the convonent witch at the time where attacking Reach, the planet once owned and hospitalized by the humans, the war ended with the covonent destroying planet Reach. A in that battle all Spartans died except for Master Chief Spartan 117, then Halo

@Un4sakenSoulja wrong....halo reach and the noble team all takes place b4 halo1... halo 1 starts with master chief waking up from the cryotube on the pillar of autumn which is the ship he was transported off of reach on after the covanant took it over...on a time line the games would go in order starting with halo reach, then halo 1 (Combat Evolved), the obviously Halo 2 and 3
