Sex, In my humble opinion, is any consensual genital contact between two or more people for reasons of sexual gratification. This means oral, anal, vaginal as well as manual stimulation. Masturbation is not sex, going to the doctor is not sex, having a baby isn't sex, and rape certainly is not sex.

I think people are far too eager to define sex. Why do we need to define sex in order to enjoy having it? ^_^ Personally the only reason I can see for defining sex is so they can make the argument that "I did not have sex with that woman", to quote Bill Clinton! Anything deliberately intended to cause arousal and orgasm I would consider a sexual act.

If you and your partner haven't discussed the details of what you would consider appropriate to engage in with another person then you have a communication problem! (And that goes beyond just saying "I won't have 'sex' with anyone else." You have to be clear on what exactly you mean by that.)

Oral sex, at least in my way of thinking, isn't really sex. However, I do agree with you.
