I have to agree with the others.

1. Very Easy makes very hard to kill foes easy at level 1

2. The Alien Blaster is a godly powerful weapon that many people including myself use in the biggest emergencies.

I myself play on Very Hard which is not really that challenging, you just need to know when to shoot and when to take cover along with building a character right. After that your all set but you probably will die once or twice. It also helps to know the right preperation places like the Mart.

But don't worry I'm not trying to be a troll like ynotthe1 who rapes 5 year old girls cause nobody likes him. Seriously though if you haven't you should try a very hard playthrough it's quite enjoyable. The extra exp from higher difficulties helps.

Here's a couple advice on builds.

1. Charisma is pointless like it's skills

2. Lockpick first, so you can loot the most

3. Repair so you have very good gear

4. Other than the alien blaster all the best guns are small guns

All creatures in the game appear randomly based on you level. You wont encounter any until you're a high enough level to possibly handle one. I have Animal Friend Lv2 and wish Id encounter them more also. They're badass when they're fighting on your side. They'll throw SM Brutes around like ragdolls.

Normally it takes 20 shots with the Alien blaster to take a Behemoth down (2000 HP / 100 DMG per hit = 20 shots).

The alien blaster is lying on the floor at the place where you enter the ship (in the wasteland). If it is not there it is possible someone else picked it up and took it away. Raiders and Wastelanders pick up the most powerful weapon lying around by default so it's quite possible one of them took it. You may find it anywhere in the wasteland. Good luck ;)

Most people never use it though since they want to save it's ammo and then the game is over. LOL

Once you get Broken Steel, you can get at least a couple hundred more rounds. On your way to the afb, you find two ammo boxes hidden near the cealing behind a door with 2 turret units. Also the mobile platform has ammo & a second blaster(60% cnd) in the armoury & arms officer. Be sure to get all the loot there cause you can`t get back in after you blow it up. Throw stuff you can`t carry overboard & get it later.

go to a place where random encounters are common, ie the anchorage war memorial, save just before you get there

(be sure you haven't been there before) and keep going until you hear a strange explosion, investigate and you will find a bit of ammo and a firelance, an alien blaster that sets enemies on fire, still need more ammo, there is around a hundred shots at fort independence, just give the outcasts some equipment and go inside and find it in an ammo box.

u should get ur luck up to 10 if u dont already and try to find the firelance. its more powerful because if u have certain perks it does up to 530 damage plus the damage it does for the fire. it actually catches people on fire. its an awesome gun. when u find it it flys up in the air and explodes and alien power cells go everywhere and the firelance lands in a spot that is different all the time. its one of my fav guns. the lincolns repeater is my fav guns. thats why u should find the firelance.
