booting time is aliitle longer than others SO WHAT?when you want to make a call do you turn ON your phone and when the call is over you turn it OFF again??once it boots its ok then,i only reboot it if is necessary!
It is now possible to boot linux in 5 seconds : from power on to the login screen in graphical interface, a complete boot, not like windows (which applications continue to boot when you're in the desktop). This was released on a Fedora distro.
So you can hope that it'll be the same for this smartphone in future releases.
It IS a long boot time for a phone, but remember, you can go weeks or even months without turning your phone off. It's kind of an always-on appliance. I hope the battery life on the FreeRunner is good.
Yeah, I know. I'm not exactly defending it, it's far too long. I don't even accept that boot time for my computer. I'm just saying that it can be avoided, though I'd much rather them work on getting the boot time down, because I plan to buy a Freerunner; or whatever they name it's successor.

You make a good point, but at the same time, the boot time is still too long.
