@globe255 I would have to say a little over weight. I have an English bulldog she weighs about 48 lbs, but she has been as heavy as 55. As she has gotten older I have taken the weight off. She is 8 and 1/2 years old. The bulldogs that are 70 and 80 pounds are fat.

@globe255 English bulldogs do not live as long as some breeds. I have had dogs live 15 years but they were terriers. I know people that have had english bulldogs live 6 years. The best way is to look at the AKC specs for the breed.
