I have Windows 7, Mac OSX Lion, and Linux Mint OS on my HP/PC. Not really a point to getting a Mac . It cost way less than Mac. It's an HP/PC Quad-Core Core 8GB of RAM, 2 X 1TB HD 27in LG screen... and Cost 849.00 less than a iMac, or Mac Pro with the same specs, and the iMac product have smaller screens. So if you like getting ripped off buy Apple. The OS isn't much differrent for Linux, and BSD distributions that are free OSes.

Well, I do own a macbook pro and it's good for my design works. On the other hand, I can't really do anything else with it (like gaming and stuff) without worrying about it overheating or crashing. Getting it repaired once, they replaced the graphic card but the problems are still there. The macbook pro just crashes randomly and it's very annoying. So I have to say that unless you need it for your work, don't buy a mac cause it will save you from lots of trouble, not to mention the cost.

Part B, ASUS also doesn't make an OS. They make hardware only, which enables them to sit comfortably back and let Windows do that part of the marketing for them, whereas Apple sells an OS with its product, meaning they have to go up against the company that has the majority of market share. @LupeOneLeo Actually when you compare hardware making up macs vs that of most recent windows PC's, better isn't an opinion. Macs have been outdated for about 2 years now. Especially with all the advancements Intel has been making with processor technology. So really when you pay over 1k for a Mac, you're paying for a name. When you pay for a windows PC, you're paying for up to date hardware with an OS that has a 10:1 (guestimation) software ratio over a Mac.

For instance, your claim about outdated processors. They were one of the first to use Intel's core i3, i5, and i7 processors. Mac Pro is available with Xeon Westmere. Also one of first to use wireless N tech. They also use up-to-date graphics cards. Every year's release means new tech inside.

They're currently using the sandy bridge processors while others have/are moving on to sandy bridge e. Up to date graphics cards? First, mobile graphics chipsets are just shit in general. Second, the Mac Pro comes with either an ATI (AMD w/e) HD 5770 or 5870, which is last generation and ATI is just terrible. (completely different discussion)

The YouTube app uses HTML5, which is currently beating out Flash for mobile tech and working on the same in other areas. I don't really know what the enduser has to do with that--which, in the iPad's case, is something you're wrong about. In fact, the majority of the tablets owned among the students and professors in the computing department at my university are iPads.
