I'm the biggest fan of DD and am therefore its biggest critic. the new album is a good attempt at "bringing back" DD. However, theres something missing from the album. The songs lack the uniqueness and legendary sound of the DD of yore. I cant say I like the album. I think DD should stop experimenting so much. DD has the potential to make really stellar music.
Roger got me excited! I can't tell you how many times I've listened to the first three albums... If the new recording is similar to Rio then I'm really excited to get it. Man o Man ... new Duran Duran album ... October see's a new Bryan Ferry album... I'm in HEAVEN!
Aaaw, no wind chimes? :-) Chimes or no chimes. Duran Duran and Mark Ronson on the same album is like having your champagne accompanied by strawberries. I already love this album.
I've always felt Duran Duran was a band of real musicians who crafted out songs and I think these videos are great way to show the public how they craft their music and play their instruments. I also love the way the "early 80's" is referred to with pride by Roger, from what I've heard, its exactly as he stated, a mix of what made a classic sound brought into a contemporary time. Can't wait! Thanks Roger for the news sharing!
I feel this is going to be one hell of an album if the marketing is right in the UK. Good luck lads - still making fantastic music after all these years!
I'm impressed with Mark's statement about the "followup to Rio" and I'm pleased to hear Roger reiterate it. I'm ready. (On a side note: This fine man is looking great...especially when the windchime interrupted his presentation...I love his smile. It's good to see.)
No matter how many times I have seen this, I just can't get over how hot Roger is. And when he smiles.....Melt.

That is a pretty bold statement saying "That this album is a follow up to the Rio album".

So... nothing new so far. The clips so far dull as ever ... despite the authentic drums, original bass and so on.
