  • couldn't agree more on Bach (not only for bass players hehe)

Jack is such a deep and wise personality, as a musician and a person, obviously the harmonic driving force of cream. So respectable and sympathetic and... well, sweet! :)

  • Why did commentators back-in-the-day put a 'the' before every band name even when the was none? 'The' Cream, makes no sense, it's 'Cream'.

  • clapton is obviously very high in this video =)

  • I never saw eric with a thunderbird before!

  • "The Governor Of All Time" Who wouldnt want that on their grave-stone?

  • haha absolutely :)

  • wise words jack!!

  • who was the bassist he mentioned ?? if anyone knows it would be appreciated if u write down who it is

  • JS Bach!

  • thanks heaps!!

  • sebastian bach? he's not a bass player, he was a composer

  • @shiftymeister He was talking about the composition of the bass lines not the playing of them.

  • I know, I was writting to etniesno1. Sorry

  • Fair enough.

  • RIght ON!

  • Jack Bruce is a beast.

  • looks a bit like johnny depp doesn't he

  • hah, I think he doesn't!

  • ohhh no. Jack is much cuter than Depp.

  • hah oh yeah totallly agree!! but you know also like the other John!!XD

  • John ? I can see you are looking at Jack now :P

Don't look at my man haha

  • hah yeah John the same as Johnny depp!!:P ^^

oh yeah, did you mean MY man!!! hahXD

yeah each time that I reply I saw him!!:D:D

  • Jack Bruce is my Gran's cousin's son. :]

  • really ?? :D

  • Honestly.

My mum was telling me! :]

    I was like, ha! Awesome!

My guitar teacher was pretty impressed too.

The thing that creeps me out is that, i used to play cello too! lol

  • omg!! you should be proud hah:P, so is your very remote relative!! that's cool!!:) I love that man!!:)

hah wow, impressive, and you don't still playing??

  • Nah, my teacher was a right idiot.

I play guitar and a bit of bass! :]

I am very proud indeed :]

  • well, that's nice!! is cool to play bass or guitar!! Great!! and I supose you like his music??

  • Yea of course.

I was learning an Eric Clapton song for my exam in school and my mum came in and told me about Jack Bruce, i was so amazed by it! :]

  • oh really!! well that's such a cool thing!! your mother telling you about Jack Bruce!!:)

  • Jaco loved this guys style.

  • Yeah, She was in her early 70s I think and had a piano which she never played. She'd talk about Jack a lot but I cant remember details. Jack sent a pack of playing cards with his name on the back of each one for me.

I do recall Betty, very upset, phoning a newspaper which printed a "Crazy, drug rock star" kind of story. She was nice but strict and her cat 'Jason' was a pain in the ass.

  • Jack's mother used to babysit me in 1978-79. I recall her being very proud and playing Jacks records to me. I was around 10yrs. I now own over 1500 LPs but Hows Tricks was my first. His mum was called Betty, lived on state pension and was a die hard Communist. His dad, Charlie who died years before, fought against Franco in the Spanish Civil War. From R.McLean, Glasgow, Scotland.

  • omg jack's mother was your babysit, you should be very proud?

  • Ohhhh yes, look at that cute face :)I always agree with you janeythebrit. I think he is sexy in all the vids :) In the 60`s he was so hot and he`s still looking good.

I love to look at Jack in the end of "sitting on the top of the world " Ohhh myyy god ......

What is that man doing to us ?haha

  • haha yeah you're soo right, yeah what he done to us? of make us sigh for him :)

  • oh jack bruce its lovely, and one of the bass players ever

  • pimp hat

  • i'm agree with you janeythebrit its a great man and musician

  • im in love with this man's soul....!!! and WHAT a cracker of a musician

  • Jack you are a living Rembrandt, always have loved you!

  • I always thought Rembrandt's portraits of 1959 reminded me of nowadays Jack a bit... haha.

  • Jack, my god of bass. A creative musician

  • Jack Bruce una gran escuela- para los bass. del mundo garcias por tu musica super completo voz , chelo, arm, piano, gitar , doble bass, etc. por siempre cream-.

  • If you doubt it, work it out for yourself.

  • There is a big difference in the idea of 'faith' that you are talking about and the notion of reason that I am implying. Faith denotes the absence of reason and visa versa. I do not worship mathematics, I understand it. There is a big difference there and it comes from the idea of doubt. All Maths comes through logical deduction. Anything and everything that you write must be proved 100%. That is how it has worked since the time of Euclid and there is no faith about it.

  • Those guys are idiots. Math is based on reason and logic and is probably the closest thing we will ever get to an absolute truth. (This is coming from someone who doesn't really enjoy math, but loves the organization it involves.)

  • math isnt real. its philosophy. invisible.

  • that's not entirely true. Math is the oldest philosophy the only philosophy that can actually be applied to anything.

  • its not real

  • OH MY GOD!! From Which DVD, Video etc is this footage? I saw Eric's interview (where he plays guitar with his Psychedelic's SG).. just amazing!! I LOVE CREAM!! can anyone tell me where i can find the whole documentary?

  • It´s from Cream in the Royal Albert Hall 1968

  • This guy is a triple threat. Great bassist, great singer, great writer.

  • super grupo cream por siempre gracias

  • the shot of ginger at 2:52 looks so fuckin funny hhahahaha!!

  • I concur. Not only in the arts but ALL disciplines

  • thats so true man, schools dont care what you want the teachers just have to teach their curriculum cause the administrators tell them to. they really dont care if you want to be a guitar player or not. they teach like algebra, foreal. like im never going o use that! haha. y-1=4x+5 who cares what letters add up too.

  • I might. y=4x+6 and the equation is undefinable, unless you are merely going to put that into graph form. Maths is completely unlike any of the arts subjects as there are a continual series of set rules that must be obeyed for it to work. Otherwise, I totally agree with you.

    Oh and Cream rock!

  • math is wrong, useless, it doesn't work. look around you. if math were any kind of answer, this shit would all have been resolved centuries ago. it's another failed religion, a false god. drop it and go back to to the land, back to where you once belonged, jo-jo.

  • Maths is not an answer, it is simply a set of general rules by which the world around you works. Without Maths, there would be no internet. Can I be more final than that?

  • don't deny that math (& probably science) are your orthodoxies; that they're for you a stone religion. you gave away your reverent worship in your first thing. and don't speak to me as if i'm in the front row of your classroom, teacher. 'the world around you' - fucking christ. i'm saying that the world around us is bullshit; that the world governed by your gods doesn't work, and that an allegiance to those gods indicates a beyond blindly servile worship of something ultimately worthless.

  • dude, how do you think your house or apartment was thought up and built? Or do you live in a fucking dumpster? It seems like so

  • stop rippin on math bro

  • In the end of the video it looked like they went into White Room. Is there another link that could show me that concert.

  • Cool, thanks. It's funny how genteel & peaceful he comes off as being here, when we know about this other side of him that came out in the music (the tripped-out, freaked-out psycho-dreamer, the Dark Lord). Makes you wonder.

  • jack bruce is one of my favourite bass players being a bassist myself he has been very influential on me

  • i´d like to see more interviews of Jack Bruce, i think he was the most interesting one in the group.
