  • Suk is so amazing. His scherzo fantastico is one of the least heard greatest pieces of music ever....

  • Where can I purchase a recording of this particular performance?

  • Thank you very much for your nice comment. I am pleased, that your orchestra plays this difficult serenade and that just Suk Serenade is in your orchestral library. I wish you rich art experiences and much successes. All the best M.

  • my high school orchestra class is playing this piece, and our teacher just had us listen to this recording as an example of what its supposed to sound like...we're not this good at it yetXD however, i am mostly czech and very atuned to the culture, and this is one of my favorite pieces in my orchestral library! thank you for sharing:)

  • I heard this on the classical radio station driving home from work, it was beautiful! dvorak is one of my favorites, now adding this one to my library! thanks for sharing :)

  • @HarpsichordM I had the most wonderful time listening to Suk''s "Asrael" this morning. OMG, was that moving!

  • Interesting... so this is the grandson playing the father's music! It is like the Czech Bachs!!!!!

  • I haven't heard of Suk, but I Love Dvorak. He is one of my favorites. This music is very beautiful. Can't wait to listen to more.

Thank you for sharing it with us.

  • @dante02206 Thank you for your warm comment . I am pleased you like this music. Read my comment to mred4ever1, please.

  • @dante02206 actually it's kinda funny: suk was dvorak's son-in-law. Also a viola player, like Dvorak. Greatest piece in the world, for string players :)

  • Never heard of this composer before, he has obviously been very underrated. Great music, his father-in-law must have been proud of him!

  • @mred4ever1 No, no, my friend, Josef Suk is one of the most famous and highly rated Czech composer of 19th and 20th centurries. His grandson Josef Suk is one of the greatist violinists. Nevertheles, I am happy to hear that you like his music.

  • Very, very beautiful music, thanks.

  • @225gabi Thank you for your kind comment. Yes Josef Suk composed beautiful music. I am plaesed you like it. Do you know, that composer Josef Suk was son in law of Antonin Dvorak?
