Interesting... it reminds me of a flying saucer... just speed up the rotor and we wont be able to tell from far away that it's actually rotating... and it has a high degree of flexibility in movement... pretty much like a flying saucer...
Impressive contraption and prototype, but certainly a helicopter is better because the body got to be wobbling during flight in monocopter. A monocopter cannot control direction at all, no tilting and lower motion efficiency. The horizontal wind push converts to vertical push, whereas helicopter involves only vertical push.
@otivaeey Watch again -- it has all the same controls as a helicopter, with only 2 moving parts. When you see it "wobble", that is the vehicle tilting in response to a tilt command. The demo arena is fairly small so you can't do much more than fly back and forth.
@pdga3791 Then take another step back and look at the bigger picture. They've had anti-gravitic systems since the 50's. This whole propeller crap is a charade..
@Wavefront101 You mean the guy who's research was declared a dead end and not viable as a means of transportation so he became a UFO nut? I think if Lockheed Martin could use that sort of "anti-gravity" (which is just using charged particles for propulsion, the way a propeller uses air currents so its not technically anti gravity) they would because it would make them money. What would they have to gain from not using it
@Misterwhalley88 What would they have to gain by not using it? It is not wise to use your best technology in the battlefield, because in the field it can be compromised, reverse engineered, and then used against you. Also you would have to admit this technology exists to the public, and they would lose way to much money and control of the people if they did so. Sorry buddy, you've been living in the make-believe, constructed reality, where the laws of physics actually hold water.
@Wavefront101 Haha, ok buddy. I think its time to take your meds, I'm going back to reality now because you can't argue with stupid or crazy and you sir, are both.
@TheBigBentley911 and what are you doing? leaving bad comment to one of the world's biggest aircraft manufacturer while you are nobody in the field of advanced aeronautic developments
whats this things importance?!?!

This accounts for quite a few of the UFO sightings I'd bet.

..........as a former US Army aviator, I look @ the potential of Lockheeds endeavor
as phenomenonally important for both military and civilian applications.
Think BIG.

Mmm flying a small explosive in a high density area no need to throw a hand grenade when you can fly it around a corner ....

WOW....it flies so nice!
I hope you guys realize what they have done here....
And that they can make them bigger.....
This is just a proto type of something that flies in another way than the normal way things fly.
Try to look at the big picture here instead of focusing on a small toy.
