My Marvel died at Civil War #2. You could tell instantly that it was a put-on. That there was never going to be a real story about an unmasked Spider-man and that theywould drag it out for another year or so adding on disasters before everyone forgot about it so he'd be single. Why not just make him single and forgot all that mess in the first place. Marvel used to be about story telling, this is just hype.

By the way, what is the story to Civil War now that it has been changed?

Thank you, guys, for FINALLY updating the podcast again with this video. I've missed you (because I always forget that you also have a YouTube channel).

Siege #2 was solid to me. It's a big, over-the-top action story, so I don't expect a ton out of it beyond cool stuff happening, and it delivers on that front. I love Thor, so it was nice to see him recover from his beatdown in #1 and get a few licks in. Ares' death sucked, but he'll be back.

I laughed at "wad of gore." Clever. :)

Siege #2 was a joy to read! Marvel goodness! I'm totally cool with the God'O'War bitin the dust. Though he's been one of my fav Marvel characters of late (really dug that recent 3 issue limited run). Ares is gangster, he goes for the glory! Any other character death would've been weak! This way he goes out swingin. My only critique, Bendis could've let him have a hit or two at the Sentry!

I just wanted to add that the whole treatment of "Ares" through out the entire dark avengers has been pretty ridiculous.

He fails as the "God of war" and as the "I know someone who's a thor and a wolverine" - Carol Danvers.

He never became an impressive enough force to be awed when sentry kills him.

Its just an astonishing fail.

@Midnighttv - Cant argue with you man. Hopefully this means Avengers go to Mt. Olympus for a cool story arc. Go figure Skrull Invasion story, turns out to be a bust. Takes too damn long. When you want Bendis to keep on writing this cool Asgard stuff , turns out it's only 4 issues!

Siege is alright, i guess. Not bad or anything, but not particularly good either.

The way the Sentry killed Ares was poorly done though. No need for all that gore.

I have nothing against gore, but i didn't feel this book needed that to stay compelling. BMB thought different, apparently.
