@TheSLSAMG Well while your name is SLS AMG, you should look at what platform the SLS is based off of you will be surprised to know it was based of the Viper platform.
@abroome11 No, the SLS has a tubular chassis which was specially designed by AMG, and the Viper has a monocoque chassis designed by Dodge. During development, Viper body panels were used to disguise the SLS.
@TheSLSAMG thats all well and good about the chassis, which is the same point I can make about the W210 that Chrysler used from MB. But you should really research the development of the SLS.
CHRYSLER NEEDS TO MAKE NAVIGATION STANDARD ON ALL MODELS. My next 300 is either going to be another SRT8 or the 300C AWD loaded. I need those cooled seats and that entertainment system.
Brilliant....freakin' brilliant. Brilliant conception: smokin' HOT new design on the 300-masculine as hell BUT elegant, like the man Varvatos himself! This is real STYLE re-stated with a 'blue collar accent'. The man wears jewelry with real style-no bling for him. And he listens to VINYL!! Now THAT is S T Y L E, American-style. Best car clip I've seen anywhere. Kudos to the agency that did this!!!
@JackZeroZ look up the motoman interview with ralph giles, he explains how they got new members and made the platform a much better one for handling, and that v8 is a good motor, its a torque monster not a hp monster
@thehob1989 the new one's interior is by the german designer, the entire 2011 line up is. thats why the quality of interior went up dramatically. the chassis the technology of the chassis and transmission are from the 90s. the engine is not efficient, the power is not good compare to the engine displacement, at the same time the fuel consumption per power is not outstanding. also, its SOHC without VVT.
@thehob1989 thats the problem, people settle with running perfect. the old 300c is even worse. this car, cant handle, way too heavy. numb steering. bad platform. bad transmission. bad engine. bad quality. old version's interior is just bad to details. they had to get the german designer to save the day. the new version although have a look and interior, but still use the old chassis
@Dalit5 There is a difference between a LOAN for green energy which all major manufacturers qualify for and utilize and a full on US GOV bailout. Take your strawman argument and shove it down your tail pipe
the 300s is not "imported from Detroit", its imported from Ontario, Canada.... the Chrysler that is assembled in Detroit is the 200 and that car has gotten reviews that - though better than the previous Sebring - are not stellar.... If you want an American car buy a Ford, they didn't take government money, are better made and more fun (can't wait for the Focus SVT to come to america!), and the company is far more stable.
@BlueCrystal021 Actually if you did your research, ford didn't take the bailout money because it had taken loans in 2006. Ford is also currently about 20 billion dollars to the u.s and Canadian governments
@jardog1698 yes, but they are still far more viable as a company than GM. GM had been relying on political ties to keep them in business for quite some time. also, they're relied heavily on the idea that the best way to help america is to buy american cars which is simply not true. their company was far too big and far too unorganized. their vehicles were generally terrible and the unions were running them dry. now with their political ties gone they're struggling to compete in the world market
ok chrysler, the first one from eminem is cool, but thats enough...please start using your car as the advertising plot...not the people from the place...imagine how cool this ad would be if you lose the talking and replaced it with a 6.2 liter Hemi? i respect these people but this is a car advert...i expect to see the car more..
