  • Veeery interesting video, great gun simbol of a whole Army.

  • they are both as bad as each other

  • me vendian una, igualita, pero no , prefiero una moderna

  • I have to wonder what the childish argument about who killed more people have to do with a video of a pistol designed initially by an American and refined by a gun maker who lived in Germany under Kaiser Wilhelm?

  • That slide must get in the way of your aim.

  • LOL You forgot a few sound effects there. That's no 9mm Luger Sound.

  • Damn look at that fucker go

  • Sawheat!

  • The irony of shooting a 9mm Luger out a Luger.

  • Excellent filming, thanks for this rare view into an important historical weapon!!!!!

  • I wish they still made these to this VERY day.......

  • Wonder how badly can it damage to our hands if placed atop of the gun.

  • Comment removed

  • @deaftodd My Finnish PO8 had an incorrect recoil spring when I bought it, and a weak trigger bar spring. This meant it not only would not go into battery after a shot (making it a single-shot Luger) but it would sometimes fire when I slapped down on top of the toggle to close the action (as the firing pin wouldn't be held back. It was scary as hell and the toggle hitting my hand smarted, but nothing too painful. Luckily, a new trigger bar spring and a Wolff recoil spring fixed it right up.

  • @bjggjb i hear that. these things are a bit unpredictable. it basically has an exposed sear on the right side of the frame. this one has "got away from me" a couple of times. (empty the mag in full auto) thats an eye opener. i have traced the problem back to a "sluggish firing pin". when i was filming this clip it did let two rounds go back to back (thats all i had in the mag) but i failed to record it in high speed. captainquinn = fail.

  • Sometimes I see these sold in gun stores as antiques. One of the more interesting things to consider when staring at one of those on the shelf is that in all likelihood, that gun has actually killed people before.

  • The mechanism for this pistol is like a work of art every time its fired.

  • @runsa

Yup. You can thank Luger for this fine piece of art. The U.S were fools not to accept this gun. I have nothing against the 1911 though good pistol too.

  • Germany is a disgrace for humanity.

    The reason is the following:

Germany is not allowing any opposition.Every German is constantly forced to take part in human rights abuses.Everybody not taking part is being tortured and/or murdered, see my channel and homepage.

    This results in:

    1. every good German being dead (because having been murdered by his state)

    2. every (remaining) German being only good when dead.

Except for the few managing to survive without collaborating.

  • @wwwtotalitaerde Blow off, bleeding heart.

  • @wwwtotalitaerde

Stuck in the '40s? What the hell are you talking about?!

  • Luger killed so many americans, french, british, jews, american jews, french jews and british jews. Beautiful gun.

  • sham wow!, those things cost ~$130,000 to fabricate these days.

  • @ 0:23 seriously looked like a .22 shell

  • never realized they had such an interesting action.

  • Dear Santa... *-*

  • wish i had a Luger p08 pistol ahah

  • nice effects you got there

  • @SirKillerBunny the only effects are audio. cheers.

  • @SirKillerBunny this is a guy who wishes he hada real luger, so he does this dumbassvid to make himself happy

  • Where do i get the blueprints to build this?

  • the mechanism is so weird....yet so awesome....

  • @ShyRobot too long did not listen

  • 9mm pa or the real pistol?

  • It was hard to visualize the toggle-lock until I saw it in action.

  • @CommanderCooper interesting design. total travel is aprox 3/4 inch.

  • @CAPTAINQUINN Indeed, it is. I wonder why we don't use a similar design in some modern pistols.

  • @CommanderCooper It would probably be too expensive. The Colt-Browning slide action type of pistol will do the job just as well, is much cheaper, and stands up to dirt better (less of its working mechanism is exposed than is the case with the Luger's toggle system.)

Still, the Luger is a fascinating design and I for one would like to see the system updated in a modern handgun.

  • @bjggjb It would be one flashy self-defense pistol.

  • Germans make good stuff.

  • @alaskafresh but poor leaders.

  • @CAPTAINQUINN my father has a luger artillery, i like it, but it dosnt eject very well sometymes, the shell gets stuck on its way out, know as chymne or something?

  • @CAPTAINQUINN Breaking news: Hitler was austrian

  • @CAPTAINQUINN not necessarily :D

  • @CAPTAINQUINN Actually they make damn good ones. Austrian or not, Hitler ran show in office. Got alot more done in a fraction of the time a democratic country could have. NOT INCLUDING GENOCIDE

  • @CAPTAINQUINN

Says an American? Already forgot about Bush? TWO TIMES? And now for the first time since Kennedy, you have a good president (Obama) and what do you folks do? You blame him for not being able to magically clean Bush's mess up in only few years and out of this stupidity you're going to elect a republican AGAIN and continue Bush's path to downfall. The next war after Iraq will then come soon but maybe that's what you Americans want.

Oh and who was a poor German leader?

  • Why dont you keep your political opinion to yourself, Obama sucks ass and you and everyone else knows that.

  • @confederacy1

Then I'm sure you can explain me in all details why he "sucks ass".

Btw he being black doesn't count.

  • @confederacy1 "Why don't you keep your political opinion to yourself" And then you go ahead and make a political opinionated statement.

    Good job idiot.

  • @m4rkm4n Pass auf deinen eigenen Land, bitte. Lass uns um unsere eigene Probleme kümmern.

  • @alaskafresh Agreed: Germans make good machines. And using this particular one killed many good people too ;-)

  • @alaskafresh def

  • @alaskafresh no! germans make best stuff.

  • @alaskafresh Ya, tell me that i work for Siemens, but the military industry is going up in a boom. H&K, BMW, Mercedez, Porsche, Audi, BOSCH, Sennheiser, BOSE, laboratory instruments, G&E GmbH, and the list is pretty large.

  • @alaskafresh how is that "good stuff"?

  • @TwistedDoomGuy

    Cuz they ARE.

  • @KingCommando32 not really a bright answer you got there :P i am just asking why (in this situation) Luger is "good stuff". Luger easly jamms and it doesnt hold much bullets, only 8, and it uses bullets that isnt effective on modern armor's, so i would say it is a really crappy gun, the only good thing about it is that it LOOK good -.- Youre just ignorant...

  • @TwistedDoomGuy

You definitely need to think like it's the early 20th century. It's also used as a sporting pistol. It was made for non armored uses back in the world wars. And most handguns don't pierce though Kevlar unless it's high powered. Have you been playing CoD recently?

  • @KingCommando32 Whatever you have been smoking, it IS the 21st century, and No i havent been playing CoD recently, i absolutly HATE CALL OF DUTY! :O i actually am against video games, because people get addicted and messed up in the head, so DONT ask me about ive been playing call of duty! its disrespectfull!

  • @TwistedDoomGuy

The Luger had 2 different safety switches(unsure about later models, but early ones had them). One, a lever on the side, and two, a lever on the handle. It probably jams because someone dosn't hold the handle safety in right. Also, 8 bullets is just about the normal clip size for a lot of pistols. And crappy guns don't cost over $1,000(gun catalog with prices, 2010).

I think you're the ignorant one...

  • @TwistedDoomGuy Just so you know, a modern 9mm (like a Glock) is no more effective against "modern armors" than a Luger... they both use the same ammo.

FWIW, the Luger blows most of today's "wondernines" out of the water when it comes to accuracy (at least both of mine do)... expensive precision machining and all that jazz. So "crappy" is as crappy does (you want crappy? Try a Smith and Wesson Sigma sometime.)

  • @TwistedDoomGuy you would say many bullets not much bullets

  • @alaskafresh they also killed millions of jews, think about that next time you put a comment

  • @TheMr1911 I'm aware the Nazi's killed millions of Jews, does that make all German's bad? Christian's killed more than 9 million JUST during the crusades (Yes, that's more than the Nazi's),there's one story about the streets of Jerusalem being filled with so much blood they reached the knees of horses...does that make all Christians bad?

Think about that next time you try to be a smart-ass.

  • @alaskafresh Sorry didnt mean to make ya mad ya nazi douche bag!

  • Comment removed

  • @TheMr1911 No kid I'm not a Nazi, grow up.

  • @alaskafresh All i hear is hail hitler!!!!!!!

  • @TheMr1911 Your making yourself look like an idiot kid.

  • @alaskafresh Kid, how old are you, ya propaganda spreading gestapo!

  • @TheMr1911 My age is Irrelevant to the argument because it's obvious who the immature one is,

You result in name-calling because your incapable of rational thinking. And propaganda? Everything I've stated is fact, your just an ignorant child that can't be reasoned with because you think your always right.

    Grow up a bit please?

  • @alaskafresh Yeah im immature, and your still posting comments to show how dominan you are compared to me. It seem's im not the only one who needs growing up.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheMr1911 Yeah, you.

  • @csmybuttt Man, you cant jump into a conversation like that......

  • @TheMr1911 You posted a comment on a public forum. Excuse me but if you don't want others to butt in your private business try using the PM system.

  • @TheMr1911 I just did, didn't I? Besides, if what you wrote is retarded now, it was also probably retarded when you wrote it, so what difference does it make?

  • @csmybuttt Look at this, two morons wanting to argue with me on, the same video.... get a life im done with you tards...

  • @TheMr1911 You're calling other people morons? Yeah, that's not hypocritical at all.

  • @TheMr1911 lol u suck. typical ignorant fat american.

  • @BigMek456 Shut the fuck up you terrorist fuck, typical terrorist, always talking shit on the U.S. Go fuck yourself you grease ball fuck!

  • @TheMr1911 I flew the plane in the WTC.

  • @BigMek456 One day you'll understand what you just said.....

  • @TheMr1911 I think my words are clear. It was the first plane, by the way.

  • @BigMek456 This fucking guy is admitting to be a terrorist, everyone who is american dislike anything this fucker is saying!!!!!

  • @BigMek456

i flew my plane right into your mothers mouth

  • @isaazman123 i asked her and she said you didnt. you liar.

  • @alaskafresh why u ask? r u a christian

  • @alaskafresh

a the christians killed 9 million VS the nazi's 6 million but the crusades lasted 200 years and the holocaust lasted 6 years.

so if the holocaust lasted as long as the crusades then the nazi's would have killed 198 million jews so ya i think the nazi's were worse

think about that next time you try to be a smart-ass

  • @isaazman123 Over the course of 200 years since the western hemisphere was still discovered, over 98 million natives were killed of, either by war or disease. The rest of the 100 or so million were enslaved. In Rwanda 800,000 people were exterminated in 100 days, using your logic, that's 16,800,000 over the course of 6 years. Think about other genocides next time you say the nazis are the worst. Smart ass

  • @cranachanan

    @cranachanan

the nazi's were worse because of the way they killed. the nazi's weren't a disease or a tribe that was killing another tribe. the nazi's turned genocide into a business. they didn't just kill, they took things from the jews, made them do slave labor, demoralized them, and killed them very systematically with no remorse. nazi germany turned into a well oiled genocide machine. the Holocaust was a very thought out & premeditated event and that is what makes it different

  • @isaazman123 Your definition of the word "Christian" is subjective, my bible says "Thou shalt not murder", so any "Christian" who disobeys God's word should probably be described by some other name.

  • @partsproduction

ok brother i am going to assume you are a baptist. hundreds of years ago when all Christians were still catholic, the pope decided that the Christians should be in control of Jerusalem and thousands of Christians went to take back Jerusalem from the jews and Muslims so they were killing "heathens" in the name of jesus was ok for Christians to do

  • @isaazman123 The crusades weren't stopped. Isn't that pretty horrible?

  • @Zangizo

neither was the holocaust until germany lost the war

  • @isaazman123 actully when the nazis killed 6 million jews in eroupe almost all the jews on earth we wiped out so actully eaither ways the number would have still stayed at about 6 million becuase there woundt be 198 million jews to kill.

  • @isaazman123 there are no 198 million jews.

  • @isaazman123 You don't seem to know that almost every nazi was christian(on the belts of the wehrmacht was imprinted "Gott mit uns", meaning "God with us")?

  • @0ldFrittenfett

that was a traditional thing. calling the nazi's christians because of their belt buckles is like saying that every single person in america is a christian because we have "In God We trust" on all of our money

  • @isaazman123 the obama regime is economically killing 50 million plus it's so depressing

  • @threelittleniglets

i completely agree but unfortunately i think he will still win because the republicans can't find a good candidate and no matter how bad things get obama will still have at least 90% of the black vote and all of those die hard liberals are still out there. i think we're fucked bro

  • @isaazman123 Don't forget russians who killed more than russians

  • @alaskafresh Poor comparison. The Muslims had been mopping the floor with Western and Byzantine armies for about 400 years by the time of the Crusades, had gobbled up huge areas of formerly Byzantine and Western territory (like Spain) and they were a very serious threat to the West. Their religion mandated constant conquest. It was WAR! (Unlike Hitler's treatment of the Jews, who couldn't have harmed him and his government had they wanted to... they were innocent scapegoats, pure and simple.)

  • @alaskafresh those where bad times to be ajew

  • If you played Time Splitters Future Perfect , this gun is on it , but it's modified and named as the Kruger 9mm

  • i like the luger its a pretty cool gun:D

  • @ShyRobot lol who exactly were you talking too?

  • what is the name of the music

  • @mynamesnick1 sony acid drum loop.

  • @mynamesnick1 it isnt music man

  • Ha u wish u all had one, I do

  • beautiful gun, design was ahead of its time, were also expensive to manufacture, heard that they were all pretty much made to tight tolerances and often changing parts out was impossible for said reason.

  • @jackingoffkills hello. very true. all parts have the last three digits of the serial number stamped on them to keep them together. cheers.

  • @jackingoffkills not exactly if you think about it, all guns do the same thing, and eject shells diffrently. the .45 was an ahead of its time mostly because most guns are off that design, but it is a beautiful gun, and most american soldiers wanted their hands on one

  • @jackingoffkills i have one chambered in .45acp

  • @JACKnoSally if it is not a reproduction you are a rich man. only 4 others are known to exist. put it in a safe deposit box now.

  • I swear at 0:9-0:10 it doubles

  • i want that gun

  • yea the falling leaf bot was great, to bad it never caught on (to expensive to make)

  • podre

  • the Luger as the coolest type of bolt

  • parabellum.

  • @CAPTAINQUINN Thanks for posting this. I own two Lugers myself

(9MM DWM Finnish export and an Interarms American Eagle 29/70) and

I can't get enough of watching that toggle in action in your video. Truly

one of the coolest inventions of the human race, IMHO.

  • @snowflakeFactory its known as a "bridge". hope this helps : D

  • aiming that thing must be a bitch

  • @zachfuncke Actually the grip angle of the Luger P.08 has been praised as one of its most desirable features, as it makes aiming a natural thing, almost. Bill Ruger copied it on his veneranle Mk II and Mk III .22 target pistols.

  • @badflamenco Well it isn't the grip as much as the bolt

(slide?). It just seems odd to have a gun that obstructs your view every time you fire, even if only for a split second.

  • It's so fast you can't even see it. I've fired several hundred rounds through a luger.

  • @Plur307 I guess. But it's still an... interesting design

  • Yeah it's a very unique gun. My father owns one. My grandpa captured one off a german soldier in WWII. I find it very awkward. The grip is really narrow compared to modern guns, too narrow for my taste. It's also awkward to cock the gun. Interesting piece of history though. It's cool to have something my grandpa brought home from WWII.

  • @Plur307 cool

  • @zachfuncke Actually, it is one of the most accurate and naturally-pointing pistols ever made. My Interarms 29/70 regularly puts a whole 8-round magazine into a spot I can cover with a silver dollar at 30 yards. (And I know the gun is capable of better than I can do.) As far as the toggle obstructing your view, it cycles too fast for you to see, and is only visible when the gun is empty. I like this, as it tells you it's time to reload! No wasting time pulling the trigger on an empty gun...

  • eww luger 9mm+german terrible but I give you 5/5 for making a nice video

  • ive got a .22 version

  • i have 3 of them and are beautifull pistols an have exelent precision

  • Deadly poetry in motion.

  • the toggle action of the luger is fucking cool

  • This is just. Epic.

  • sick

  • Comment removed

  • I love that action! that's amazingly awesomely sweet!

  • Cool action on that baby eh ???

  • i have a real one from WWll it's cool.

  • such an incrediable design and operation

  • sweet

  • well the part about Adolf is right but the soviet union please had the campaign in the east gone as planned with supplies the USSR wud have been non existent as for the brittish the relied haevily on there american allies that i am sure of 2 america rided on chance a alot during the war a thousand things could have gone wrong and the germans would have won the war no i am not a nazi but i think you gave the germans to little credit for there accomplishments

  • Listen, while I agree with your points in general, I found reading your comment painful.

Try to work on your spelling and grammar, yes?

  • You do understand it, yes? Stop being a prick about it then...

  • Actually, I had to read through it twice to fully comprehend "the british the relied haevily on there american".

  • why didn't the germans win the war?

  • Because Old Adolf refused to listen to his Generals advice, he thought he knew best.

And he had the combined might of the British and Americans coming from the west and the USSR in the East

  • If he had kept the non-agression pact and tried to hold only British-American Alliance, u think they'd secure and hold entire Europe?

  • their leader

  • cuz hitler had a moustache............ i have no idea lol

  • firing blanks sound effect added=extremely annoying

  • you are firing blanks right?

  • epic shot at :20 with the regular to slow motion

  • i think luger guns nowadays are hard to find models of gun. especially.. during the time they remodeled the G1 Megatron (who's alter form was a Luger/ Walther P38)

  • Comment removed

  • Dumbest comment I've read on youtube, by far...

  • the lugers cocking mechanism is ingenious the way it uses inertia to cut back on kick

  • I remember my grandpa talking about how soldiers here in Norway in ww2 always wanted to get their hands on a Luger. Maybe cause they were so special I dunno, never asked him why :P

  • lugers were special. they were highly sought after because pretty much only nazi officers had them. if you got a luger, that meant you got an officer. its basically a personal war trophy.

  • one thing any allied solider found with one was shot on the spot lol

  • @thriller920 the pistol has been around for 100 years, who cares if its not perfect

  • Ecco così si fa!!!!!

  • nice i "subbed"

  • That actually is a Model gun, not real. Made by Japan. Model guns are used for movies, and have realistic sparks and shell ejection. If that it indoor, it would not echo that precisely, since it is that close to the camera ;)

  • you make me laugh. you are an arm chair adventurer. go play your video games.

  • Actually, they use Blank Firing Guns that can no load real ammunition for Movies. I work in film. I know.

  • Right. And then the tech guys just add in the muzzle blast and loud bang. Am I right?

  • this is no "model". it is a 9mm bring back from ww2. i put the sound on in post production.
