  • @BlaCkPanNtThEr IDIOTA Y RACISTA,CIUDADANO DE SEGUNDA...LATINO HABLAS VOS TAMBIEN,CYLPAYO.

  • "STAY BEHIND THE FENCE" should be translate into different languages and posted around this tree.

but then again, standing in front of this awesome tree people are so in awed they can't see any sign.

  • @nipzilla thats what i thought .in OZ big trees (ah i dont think we have anything to match this monster)are fenced off you can only walk around on a raised platform ..but with snow around the base it wouldnt really matter would it??

  • just looking at the video i suppose doesnt do it justice, it looks so surreal

  • I guess if you're from another country, the guardrails do not apply to you.

  • im gonna klimb all the way upp!

  • For those who like big trees like this, search in the Youtube box CLIMBING REDWOOD GIANTS to find the 44 minute Explorer episode posted by Nat Geo about Coast redwoods.

  • You aren't suppose to get close to it the stems will break those treas are fragile you fucks.

  • @jo951000 shut up you freak when you were watchin this video you were looking thru a window into thePAST they cant hear you!! silly boy

  • those trees are wonders of nature

  • The "canopy" of trees like this are being used by the Mexican cartels to hide narcotics production. Every tree like this is another joint on the streets of American city's. The DEA has designated many of these areas as infested beyond any means of removal. Any hope of removing the marijuana will involve the harvesting of these trees. They have no practical value other than aiding the drug cartels.

  • @IFlick its weed, calm yourself would u really wana see natures beauty be ruined for some harmless weed seriously u gotta relax maybe smoke a joint nd think about it

  • noone fuckin cares about youre fuckin anti-drug-spamming-.-

  • Comment removed

  • @IFlick Your assertion that these forests should be, as you so eloquently termed it, "harvested" because they have no value other than aiding drug cartels, is quite possibly the most idiotic comment I have ever seen posted on YouTube.

  • Amagad, I wondering how much weight that tree got :o

  • iv been thier so manyu times its just that i nevered been thier in the snow but we camp thier every year for a week and im with tmwnate-you miss the part to stay behind the fence

  • $hit, I've got a bigger tree in my back yard. I'll bet somebody is itchin' to cut that baby down with a chainsaw.

  • The General Sherman Tree was first named the Karl Marx tree by the Kaweah colony, a group of utopian socialists that were doing logging back in the 1880's in the area. When this was no longer allowed, the colony ended. If the tree could be renamed once, why can't it be renamed again? Sherman was one of the worst people in US history. As the world's biggest tree, it belongs to all the world and should be a symbol of peace and not named after a ruthless bigot. What name would you recommend?

  • this tree is 102 ft around--------the thickest trunk of all tree's on earth is the tule tree in mexico --191 ft around

  • @sasktank but the general sherman is largest in volume, largest living thing on earth

  • where is that place California?

  • Yes, it's in california. In Sequioa National Park

  • its awsome during winter

  • I guess you missed the part where it say STAY BEHIND THE FENCE...

  • @tmwnat dont be a geek man!! ya rascist fecker

  • i went there a couple days ago

    meraviglie

  • q grande, chei!!!!

  • Sequioadendron are on my list for 2009. If you care to see photos of MEGATRON size coast redwoods, Google this:

    mdvaden + Grove of Titans

Largest known coastal redwoods - would post link, but they don't seem to work in the text box.

I've seen winter photos of that area, and am not sure now if I want to go in the winter or spring time.
