  • hey Mijonju: quick question i recently bought a Revue 700 EL(some kind of clone) and i've read the camera's from that time use a 1,3 volt battery but I use a 1,5 Volt battery could that effect the auto exposure of the camera?

  • @HKG36E It might because the meter was meant for 1.3 volt batteries, I'd find out what battery type it originally took and see if any local stores like Radioshack or better yet a pure battery store, Those type of stores usually carry new batteries meant for film cameras

  • @U23Drocs well i don't live in the US so i don't have a radioshack store. Is radioshack a huge consumer electronics store?

also i surfed around the internet and found out that the revue is a Konica C35 clone.

  • @HKG36E Radioshack is a chain of electronic stores, but unfortunately i think they are limited to being in america, But drug stores may sell them. And if they don't the last resort would be ebaying it

  • @U23Drocs do you maybe know which type of button cell it uses? I've read that some people use zinc air hearing aid batteries (in my country they are 1,4 V)

  • @HKG36E Watch batteries or Hearing aid batteries usually work, For example i have a minolta X370 that has auto exposure and it takes watch batteries. So i'd go for the watch batteries.

  • Great video Mijonju. I enjoyed this one a lot!

  • Even though I just bought a Leica X1, I still do more shooting with my film camera.

  • DUDE. how do i get my hands on some fp500b!!!??? seriously, email me! i wished i lived in japan just for the FILM! urayamashi!!!!

  • its interesting to see Two Cute Dogs using a LF camera as I only ever see his 35mm street work.

  • I wouldve liked to see the picture taken

  • I'm loving all this large format. More! More! ^^

  • @Taoworm i know its grainy, thats why i bought it.. and ektar is too expensive for me, and the local store does not have it.

  • I just pougth 3 boxes of Porta 400 120 film!!. Support Kodak and Ilford

  • Sorry, “BUY FILM NOT MEGAPIXELS Tee” doesn’t ship anywhere...

  • Looks like everyone had a great time !! Really enjoyed the video...almost like being there.

  • After years of film use, I would LOVE to go back, but on average it cost about $30 per roll of 35mm film to be bought, shipped, exposed, developed, and scanned to computer in remote areas of US and Canada. This is NOT including printing cost. In Japan, I could ride a subway to a near by film shop and have them both developed and scanned at about half the cost.

  • @fvgotch Damn, you must live in the proverbial boonies :O

  • @NagaTen No I live near a big city. Unless you know how to develpe your own negatives, it cost that freakin much so shut the fuck up.

  • @fvgotch I wasn't attacking you dumbass, but since you're so smart i don't know where the hell you go to develop your film, cause i never payed more than 15€ for an entire rolls expense and i live in Portugal where we get taxed like crazy. Are you gonna tell me is more expensive in the U.S.?

  • @fvgotch we kinda develop the films ourselvesso its kinda cheap

  • @Mijonju Oh you develope color film on your own? Wow... I haven't seen too many people attempt color.

  • @fvgotch For cheap scanning, get one of the old "slide copy"-type holders, stick it on your digicam and take a shot of the negative that way. invert in photoshop; done. Friends of mine often just take a shot of the neg held against their window, though nowadays (after-student-years) we've just bought film scanners such as the V700 or V750. film is about 4 euros a roll, and BW dev costs peanuts when done right.

  • @drheaddamage Thanks but your methods of scanning are cheap at best. Holding on to the light or holder and use a DSLR? No thanks. That is not why I've shot film for 15 years. V700 is decent for color negatives but when it comes to getting the dynamic range on slides or B&W, it pales compared to discontinued & driver-outdated dedicated film scanners which costs $1000 to $4000 used on ebay or have it done via custom lab which cost about $15 per roll & that $15 is on the cheaper side.

  • lol @ 1:21

  • Wish i could hang out with you guys haha

  • wow i so want a large format

  • Would the polaroid automatic land cam series count as large format? I have a 104, 320 and 420. They are some of my fav cams to use.

  • @franscartoons not really, its a little smaller then large format but bigger medium, i guess it was called a standard format back in the days but the standard seems to be 35mm now.

  • nice show ! :) never saw these big cameras in action. rock n roll camera !
