yeah i liked his playing better when he played stratocasters an telecasters i think the british blues he is playing now is good and you dont here a lot of british blues style artist now days, but his playing was more articulate and melodic and jammy back then and it had a groove i miss the groove but. still awsome
anyone who has followed joe closely and continually listens to him should instantly recognize the incredible level of maturity his playing now has over what he did in this era. he doesn't do as much blazing, but the subtlety of his bends, his control, his phrasing, note selection, etc., is so compelling you have to be deaf not to hear how sophisticated his stuff is.
I really dig his shoes:)
