Dammit why's they have to cancel the rest of the series??? Man I really wanted to see the new armor against Alcanphel it would have been a great battle.
It's very sad that the Guyver series had not been very successful in the media or franchise. The OVA was promising but cancelled after Bandai ran out of fundings and there was not a demand, the 05 series cancelled after one season could be the ratings. Maybe if Toei handled it, it would have lasted much longer.
True, but keep in the mind the manga series only now is killing of Zoalords and seeing as the release date is 1 chapter a month (do note, NOT a book) which is even then subject to change due to delays.
I think the Series back in 05 ran out of footage and would have to had ' improvised' all they possibly could have done was how Chronos did take over the world, which was mentioned briefly in the show, yet had a chapter or 2 dedicated to in the manga.
Well the Manga which started in 87,88? -present has not ended nor any new innovating besides the ongoing struggle against Chronos which is not making any progress against a giant. It won't end but my expectation is to see our favourite anti-hero Agito take over Chronos and turn on Humanity and Sho is force to face him!
sadly the series was canceled after this episode due to it being out rated by naruto and DBGT they decided to terminate the rest of the episodes because of that which sux :(
I think there is some confusion as to why this series and the OVA series have a differing violent content. The answer is simple, an OVA is a similar concept to the Direct to Video, and there for not constrained to the TV standards in Japan. This was a TV series, and therefore had to adhere to standards for their television ratings, and even though they can show more on their TV, they still have standards to adhere to, hence the toned down gore. I still think it is superior to the first though.
yeah i like this one because it had a lot more story and a little bit more of the manga in it. but the older one was more intense. like guyver vs. enzyme I...that was awesome

Hi mate, i felt exactly the same when i first watched episode 1-12 of the first guyver series and was gutted about the ending. All the way through the 2nd series i was hoping they wouldnt do that to me a again which they did the BASTARDS. Why do that a second time Anyway just thought id reply to your message as i feel your pain
amen brother! geez. i mean dont get me wrong, i was super psyched to see this new series but the lack of drama (ie:1st enzyme battle) and unfinished "conclusion" was disheartening. i love guyver and would support if it came back full time, thinking back now that show and the original ninja scroll movie are still to this day the most badass anime films ive EVER seen. bescause i dont have a punching bag nearby i have to vent on here instead, keep you fingers crossed with me for a resolution
FYI RareAir310 Kronos are good guys. It's just Commander Gyuo is a dick trying to take over Kronos. Or atleast, that is what happens in the manga. Several of the Zoalords are evil and the rest of Kronos are actually good guys trying to make the world a better place.
wow, tell that to agito who might have a difference of opinion haha, reminds me of star wars logic when defending the empires brutal tactics. i just refuse to believe that this 2005 incarnation of the series is the last breath of life for the guyver franchise. if anything i figured it would be like the new dbz oav that was released acting as a test to see if it would sell.

This is one of my favourite scenes... I used to dislike the design for gigantic guyver cause I thought it was too bulky and exaggerated to the extend of being comical... But the more i looked at it the more i liked it. Now i am a great fan of gigantic guyvers.

Nah, Guyver OOC is an OVA movie, tells the same story as the 12 ep OVA and this new series... only difference is Guyver 2 is a chick. And you get to see boobies. Worth a look though, I enjoyed it.
this series ended at volume 9 or 10 in the manga. there are 25 already published, and new ones are still being published in shonen ace. i think the odds are likely that there will be a new season, but then again, so far only volumes 1-8 of the manga have been translated here
the giga guyver is when Sho or Guyver 3 combine with that shell thing which was suppose to be a ship. when they combine with it there power increase like crazy. like Guyver's megasmasher increase 100x and becomes the giga smasher.Both guyvers can use it but only 1 at a time and it take a while to put on so the enemy is able to take it if they are not careful.See Guyver in wikipedia.
A part of me misses the bizarro accents of the old dub on the first(?) anime series based on Guyver. Even if this version makes more sense and is more true to the manga, there's always a place in my heart for the "original". Also, did anybody ever see Guyver: Out of Control -- that one with the female guyver II?
i just want them to rerelease & start publishing the manga in english again. By the time the stores i have access to started carrying manga it was discontinued & out of print in english. I use to have the series i bought them while on vacations with family but they were stolen along with my collection of otaku items i had collected over 20 years were talking value in the $1000s EZ. & the prices for them on the net is rediculous when you include shipping $30-$40+ per volume.
it wont it was canceled long ago. I id say your right about the action side of the original series. But the new one follow the manga closer from what i can tell. Tho id hardly call it "the new face of ultraviolence"
the its tame compared with the old and the 1st 6 eps were the best if any noobs r thinking of checking the old show just watch ep 1-6.

Yeah the manga is still going on and Guyver Gigantic becomes effing huge. I meen Godzilla size huge to fight a Zoalord, he also turns blood red. Guyver always had more power the host just needs to ask and want it in the right way. There are hint in earlier mangas that Guyver would become truly Gigantic.
It's Gigantic Guyver and the megasmasher weapon is called Gigasmasher in this form. Guyver 1, Sho, was fighting a losing battle with a Zoalord, and sho wished, with all of his power that he had just enough power to defeat him. Thus, the creator ship complies with it's bio-weapon and creates a coccoon like pod, which Sho, Guyver 1 is pulled into, and is reborn as the Gigantic Guyver, a tremondous power boost that can only sustain 15 minutes of activity because it uses so much power.
Those energy ball thingies ARE the Gigasmasher cannons, a gelatinous substance that forms when the bio-booster armor activates it's most powerful organic weapon, which uses Hyper Kinetic Energy and the particle known as graviton to power this weapon. The Guyver normally only has one gravity controller, which is the metallic looking orb at his belt, that creates a miniscule wormhole to an energy rich dimension known as Hyper Space.
This link to hyper space provides the booster armor and it's organic weapons with an infinite pool of energy. Gigantic Guyver, however has three gravitational control orbs, which were the tiny glowing orbs under the chest cavity while the chest plates were opening, which nearly doubles his energy intake. Questions, anybody?
if i'm not wrong..there's one guyver but its more like a bad guy zoanoid..it takes about 2- 3 person to join/combined and form it..do u guys noe bout it ? it the manga i think it appears around the 20th episode

Guys this is the newly created remake... kinda along side orig 12 eps... they did stop at 12, this series "Bio-Booster" Guyver stays truer to the original Manga source, it's currently being translated to English for the US Market.
I'm a huge Guyver fan... and no, that isn't Guyver 2, it's Gigantic Guyver 1.

This was the last episode so this guyver, it was weird as well as zoinods were intergrated into normal life some how, the lizard dude was apton he was cool with the lot of them at the end, the guy who got killed at the end was the leader of the hyper zoinoid team (balker ??)
Where could I get some of this stuff? I used to watch this cartoon back in 1997 I think. But it only extended up to the 12th episode. This one seems to extend up to the end. I'd relly want to get a copy of these manga.
WTF are talking about bio guyver theres no such thing every guyver is the same. Lisker(guyver 2) died because of the damaged control metal if it wasnt guyver 1 would be dead heck even guyver 3 would be.
This is far, far from the end. The story is up to the 24th graphic novel atm which is enough to make another TV series and the story still goes on lol!
I read the manga years ago, it got up to Black Guyver stole the Gigantic Armor from White Guyer and Black Guyver created his own team, he went to the HQ of the 12 Zoalords and fought 2 of them then all of a sudden the manga disappeared! I havent heard anything on Guyver after that and it was about 5 years ago
Guyver 2 is also capable of using the gigantic. As a matter of fact he even steals it form show during a huge battle. It rips off of shos bio booster and goes to agito. I've read the manga and it goes really deep. its insanity from this point on. the whole series turns upside down and a few peoples intentions and secret plans are revealed.
It might do, but I'll give a little in sight what happens afterwards. Sho has a dream. He wakes up, Sho and Agito discuss about what happened and start up a plan to take out Purg'stall at Cloud Gate, (the zoalord with the gray hair in this video). Sho and Agito goes as planned but Purg'stall has already left Cloud Gate but an unexpected person is staring out the window in the control room. I'm not giving out anymore information but I tell you this now its someone who Agito and Sho both know.
Guyver is fucking ACE! The new series is available 4 eps at a time on DVD in english. The first was released just a few days ago. Got mine and it is awesome!
first things first it's guyver gigantic. secondly against the fight with a zoa master he sorta died along with a ship that was controled by a oversized controle metal (the thing on his forehead) in his finnal moment he wanted power to defeat the creep so the ship granted his request and merged with him into a capsule like thing wich was stored by chrono's (they didn't knwo what it was) and then they took over the earth and guyver 3 formed a resistance with some humans this is it in a nutshell
Oh, so it's still Sho, Tetsuo and Misuke? They didn't change the characters for this new series like Yu-Gi-Oh GX (bad comparison, I know, but none of the original characters are in that), then? Looks awesome, either way!
Just hated when they didn't "completely" finished the whole story. You don't get a chance to see guyver woop all the 12's butt. I find the series very dissapointing, FINISH THE DAMN STORYLINE!
Subtitles are your friends. As for Miyuziki, I prefer her in this situation instead of the damsel always in distress. It is good they are focusing more on character development which is critical and completely lacking in the second OVA series. Thanks.
i started watching the guyver when i was 6 yrs old. Im gonna be 18 soon and its still the best freakin anime ever. Gigantics megasmasher takes any super saiyan blast and rapes it strait up the poop shoot. Yoshiki Takaya is the shieza + 3 for creating this shit.
This 2nd series focus' way too much on Mizuki and how the Guyver affects her. I believe they contributed a whole episode to her perspective. Wicked freaking lame. I also like how Aptom was all hanging out with the kids and Guyver3 (Who by the way is extremely sedate and not nearly as interesting.). This series is a joke compared to the first one.

It most likely couldn't be anything but canceled, the manga it's based on is still in making the author makes 1 chapter every month or so.
as such we would only get a few more episodes with a pretty open plot yes even opener then this)
just wait for a year or 2 till we have enough chapters to make a squeal/remake.

thats because Takaya hasn't finished the manga the TV series here ended on volume 8 I believe and Takaya right now is on 23 or 24 right now.

I use to have the series i bought them while on vacations with family but they were stolen along with my collection of otaku items i had collected over 20 years were talking value in the $1000s EZ. & the prices for them on the net is rediculous when you include shipping $30-$40+ per volume.

it wont it was canceled long ago. I id say your right about the action side of the original series. But the new one follow the manga closer from what i can tell. Tho id hardly call it "the new face of ultraviolence"
the its tame compared with the old and the 1st 6 eps were the best if any noobs r thinking of checking the old show just watch ep 1-6.

The new guyver series looks like shit compared to the old one even though it looks more updated and shows more of the better scenes in the series its still ............boring not enough action or emotion ..God they need to bring back the original OVA artists and voice actors back and then it'll be a good anime again

Yeah the manga is still going on and Guyver Gigantic becomes effing huge. I meen Godzilla size huge to fight a Zoalord, he also turns blood red. Guyver always had more power the host just needs to ask and want it in the right way. There are hint in earlier mangas that Guyver would become truly Gigantic.

It's Gigantic Guyver and the megasmasher weapon is called Gigasmasher in this form. Guyver 1, Sho, was fighting a losing battle with a Zoalord, and sho wished, with all of his power that he had just enough power to defeat him. Thus, the creator ship complies with it's bio-weapon and creates a coccoon like pod, which Sho, Guyver 1 is pulled into, and is reborn as the Gigantic Guyver, a tremondous power boost that can only sustain 15 minutes of activity because it uses so much power.

Those energy ball thingies ARE the Gigasmasher cannons, a gelatinous substance that forms when the bio-booster armor activates it's most powerful organic weapon, which uses Hyper Kinetic Energy and the particle known as graviton to power this weapon. The Guyver normally only has one gravity controller, which is the metallic looking orb at his belt, that creates a miniscule wormhole to an energy rich dimension known as Hyper Space.

This link to hyper space provides the booster armor and it's organic weapons with an infinite pool of energy. Gigantic Guyver, however has three gravitational control orbs, which were the tiny glowing orbs under the chest cavity while the chest plates were opening, which nearly doubles his energy intake. Guys this is the newly created remake... kinda along side orig 12 eps... they did stop at 12, this series "Bio-Booster" Guyver stays truer to the original Manga source, it's currently being translated to English for the US Market.
I'm a huge Guyver fan... and no, that isn't Guyver 2, it's Gigantic Guyver 1.
This series wipes the floor with the orig, and I loved the original!

This was the last episode so this guyver, it was weird as well as zoinods were intergrated into normal life some how, the lizard dude was apton he was cool with the lot of them at the end, the guy who got killed at the end was the leader of the hyper zoinoid team (balker ??)

Where could I get some of this stuff? I used to watch this cartoon back in 1997 I think. But it only extended up to the 12th episode. This one seems to extend up to the end. I'd relly want to get a copy of these manga.

WTF are talking about bio guyver theres no such thing every guyver is the same. Lisker(guyver 2) died because of the damaged control metal if it wasnt guyver 1 would be dead heck even guyver 3 would be.

I read the manga years ago, it got up to Black Guyver stole the Gigantic Armor from White Guyer and Black Guyver created his own team, he went to the HQ of the 12 Zoalords and fought 2 of them then all of a sudden the manga disappeared! I havent heard anything on Guyver after that and it was about 5 years ago

It's called Guyver 2nd stage, Gigantic Armor. It is the armor of Guyver 1, so far only Guyver 1 is known to have it, but others do too probably.

Guyver 2 is also capable of using the gigantic. As a matter of fact he even steals it form show during a huge battle. It rips off of shos bio booster and goes to agito. I've read the manga and it goes really deep. its insanity from this point on. the whole series turns upside down and a few peoples intentions and secret plans are revealed.

It might do, but I'll give a little in sight what happens afterwards. Sho has a dream. He wakes up, Sho and Agito discuss about what happened and start up a plan to take out Purg'stall at Cloud Gate, (the zoalord with the gray hair in this video). Sho and Agito goes as planned but Purg'stall has already left Cloud Gate but an unexpected person is staring out the window in the control room. I'm not giving out anymore information but I tell you this now its someone who Agito and Sho both know.

first things first it's guyver gigantic. secondly against the fight with a zoa master he sorta died along with a ship that was controled by a oversized controle metal (the thing on his forehead) in his finnal moment he wanted power to defeat the creep so the ship granted his request and merged with him into a capsule like thing wich was stored by chrono's (they didn't knwo what it was) and then they took over the earth and guyver 3 formed a resistance with some humans this is it in a nutshell

Subtitles are your friends. As for Miyuziki, I prefer her in this situation instead of the damsel always in distress. It is good they are focusing more on character development which is critical and completely lacking in the second OVA series. Thanks.

i started watching the guyver when i was 6 yrs old. Im gonna be 18 soon and its still the best freakin anime ever. Gigantics megasmasher takes any super saiyan blast and rapes it strait up the poop shoot. Yoshiki Takaya is the shieza + 3 for creating this shit.

This 2nd series focus' way too much on Mizuki and how the Guyver affects her. I believe they contributed a whole episode to her perspective. Wicked freaking lame. I also like how Aptom was all hanging out with the kids and Guyver3 (Who by the way is extremely sedate and not nearly as interesting.). This series is a joke compared to the first one.
